Good pressure filter
Excellent filter, keeps water clear and it's easy to maintain. It's been running for 4 years and I've only needed to replace the uv light once in that time. It's still using the original foam filters as well with weekly backflushes and once a year tear down cleaning.

Follow-up--one year later!!!!!!
This filter is vital for consistently clean water in your pond. It is NOT a vacuum cleaner that will clear up a mucky bottom, but once the muck is removed, this filter, with the recommended pump, will remove that suspended algae over a few days. The cleaning of the filter process seems to work well, also. The cleaning port cap/glass and the red popup seem to be pointless, however, as the popup never returned to its original, down position. And the cap/glass--I just put a permanent 2' section of hose on the cleanout port to help direct the dirty water during cleanout. You will have to judge how often that needs to be, but it's easy-peasy to go into the cleanout mode; rotate the cleaning arm; and watch for the water to clear up--meaning the pump is running during this process--and voila, done with cleaning the filter. Don't forget to turn the valve back to the filtering position. Very good design overall. I'd give it a 9.0 on a 10.0 scale. Happy pondering! As a follow-up a year later, there were some issues with the UV lighting system on both of my units, and after verifying the problem with a video, the company replaced both units. How excellent is that? This is the best customer service I've ever gotten from a company. They are the best, and so are the filters--even with the problem with the UV systems. Looking forward to clear, clean ponds again! Thank you VivoHome--#1!!!!

First Rate!
What a great replacement for my old pond filter. Gone are the days of having cloudy water and build up and constant changes of nasty fish debris. This filter does exactly what it claims. *You have to wait a couple of days once it's first operational but boy does it work! I installed mine on my 2,500 gallon pond (15 Koi) and waited 3 days. On the 3rd day I went out to the pond and the water had turned to crystal clear spring water!!!! The Koi could not be any happier! In 33 years, I have never seen this pond this clear. The water amazes me every day. Cleaning the unit is tricky but doable. You just have to take your time and it is fairly easy to clean the interior filter sponges. Takes about 15 minutes and a decent garden hose. I have used many, many different filters to keep my pond clean but up until I started using this jewel, the water was always 50% cloudy despite the chems and the maintenance always 100%. No filter has EVER made the water this clean and clear. This thing is absolutely amazing! 5*'s and then some. LOVE IT!

Use a GFCI outlet!
First I would like to say that this is a great filter. It is overkill for my 125 gal fish pond, but it has done an excellent job of keeping things clean and healthy for my fish. Please please make sure you have this attached to a GFCI outlet. I did (which you should always do for electronics near water) and I am very glad I did. The filter lasted a year and a half before a seal at the top failed and water filled up the tube holding the UV light and transformer. The UV light had disintegrated inside and it continuously tripped the GFCI.Might want to take apart the top once in awhile to ensure there are no leaks. Definitely use a GFCI. Would I get another one? Yes. This time I will check the seals on the electronics.

So far, this device is completely non-functional - UPDATED
We received our pump this weekend and set it up immediately. The instructions are essentially non-existent but if you are familiar with pumps its not too complicated. If you are not familiar with pumps, buy elsewhere. We plugged it in and nothing. We are currently working under the assumption that it is DOA but not having much success with support so far (we are in contact via email). Additionally, there does not appear to be any supporting information for this unit. Example: There are bio-balls in the base of the unit. If you are unsure what those are, you will stay that way as the only thing mentioned about them is their name. It does not come with hoses or clamps so make sure you order them as well. There are no setup instructions but there are reasonably well defined care instructions so if you can get it running properly, you should be able to care for it. I will update this review as things develop but so far I wouldn't recommend this device.UPDATE: Added a star because the VivoHome support department has agreed to replace the device. More info to come once the replacement arrives.UPDATE2: Back down to 1 star. New device doesn't work either. There is no activity when powering on. Support has no ideas but to replace the pump again but I don't want a house full of trash pumps. There are no online resources and no actual support. Buying a better product.
