The media could not be loaded. Maintaining a healthy and visually stunning pond can be a constant challenge, especially when battling algae and cloudy water. After much research, I decided to invest in the VIVOHOME Pressurized Biological Pond Filter with 13-watt Light, 1580 GPH Suitable for Koi Ponds up to 800 Gallons or Ornamental Ponds up to 1600 Gallons, and it has truly exceeded every expectation! My pond has never looked this good. The pressurized biological filtration is the backbone of this unit. It effectively removes harmful toxins and maintains a balanced ecosystem, which is crucial for the health of my fish and plants. I've noticed a dramatic improvement in water quality – it's incredibly clear, allowing me to fully appreciate the vibrant colors of my koi.The integrated 13-watt UV light is a game-changer for algae control. Before this filter, I struggled with green water, but the UV light zaps away free-floating algae, keeping my pond sparkling. This combination of biological filtration and UV sterilization provides comprehensive water purification that's hard to beat. With a 1580 GPH flow rate, this filter handles a substantial volume of water with ease. It's perfectly matched for my 700-gallon koi pond, and I can see why it's recommended for koi ponds up to 800 gallons and ornamental ponds up to 1600 gallons. Works Perfectly, Clean H2O almost instantly!
I am a senior citizen over 75 and this was easy peasy to assemble... I have been using one filter system for 7 years that I've had my 355 gallon koi tank... No matter what I did of late I could not get the water clear... I decided to try a new brand and this was it... I love love love the one inch hose You will not believe how much that will benefit you as far as water pressure return and also cleaning power! My water began to be clearer by the next morning I believe it's now 3 days and the water is crystal clear and from what I can tell the filter is nowhere close to needing a cleaning... I am so impressed...so excited and so happy I purchased this unit!

Follow-up--one year later!!!!!!
This filter is vital for consistently clean water in your pond. It is NOT a vacuum cleaner that will clear up a mucky bottom, but once the muck is removed, this filter, with the recommended pump, will remove that suspended algae over a few days. The cleaning of the filter process seems to work well, also. The cleaning port cap/glass and the red popup seem to be pointless, however, as the popup never returned to its original, down position. And the cap/glass--I just put a permanent 2' section of hose on the cleanout port to help direct the dirty water during cleanout. You will have to judge how often that needs to be, but it's easy-peasy to go into the cleanout mode; rotate the cleaning arm; and watch for the water to clear up--meaning the pump is running during this process--and voila, done with cleaning the filter. Don't forget to turn the valve back to the filtering position. Very good design overall. I'd give it a 9.0 on a 10.0 scale. Happy pondering! As a follow-up a year later, there were some issues with the UV lighting system on both of my units, and after verifying the problem with a video, the company replaced both units. How excellent is that? This is the best customer service I've ever gotten from a company. They are the best, and so are the filters--even with the problem with the UV systems. Looking forward to clear, clean ponds again! Thank you VivoHome--#1!!!!

Don't buy.
The media could not be loaded. It was really good for about 5 months. I was using it as a pre-filer before the matala filter box. The leaking was mainly at the hose connections at first maybe 1 mont in and I fixed that with getting a better hose set. But I should have gone with the reviews. It leaks at the seals. Doesn't stop even after I replaced it. Started leaking at the light bulb base now. So I can't even use that now. It is a waste of money. Too late for me to return but hopefully this saves people some money. I really liked the design and really had hopes for it. Im sure if the company changes to better seals and maybe a much better holding clamp instead of this plastic one. Although, that isn't the problem. But I can see it breaking at any point.
