New to cloth diapering....these made me a convert!
My husband and I have been using these diapers with our son and we LOVE them. First some stats and background info: we're new to cloth diapering (our son is 19 mos old), we started cloth when he was 3 mos old, we wash 1-3x per week (double wash, then hang dry covers and machine dry inserts), our son is not a heavy wetter. When we started, we tried LOTS of cloth diaper systems: prefolds and covers, all-in-ones, Grovia hybrids with snap-in inserts, fitted diapers with covers. But we settled on the Thirsties pockets for many reasons. So, here are my PROS: 1) They're flexible. They come with inserts so you can adjust absorbancy as your kid grows. 2) They RARELY leak. I loved that they held newborn liquid poop really well, thanks to the double gussets on the legs. 3) They grow with your kid. You can resize them as your kid grows. 4) They wash really well. The inserts REALLY do agitate out! They also dry really quickly because the inserts can be machine dried separate from the PUL covers. 6) They're really trim (no monster bubble butt). 7) Thirsties customer service is awesome. A few months after we started, our diapers started to leak. A Thirsties rep worked with us to troubleshoot the problem. It turns out all we had to do was fold one of the inserts to increase absorption in the front of the diaper. Easy! Lastly, the prints are really cute.CONS: 1) You have to stuff them. Because these are pocket diapers you need to stuff them with the inserts after they're washed and dried. I don't mind because I can do this while I'm watching TV at night but some people might not like it. 2) I did have a problem with the snaps wearing on two of the 25 diapers we own (and both were the same color...weird). 3) they're a bit expensive.

I would only buy the One Size diaper like this pocket diaper
I have a lot of different style cloth diapers. I started with Thirstie Duo Wraps + Prefolds as well as Newborn AIO. My son quickly outgrew the newborn diapers and he is about to outgrow the size 1 Duo Wraps within 3 months. I have learned a lot about cloth diapering since I started almost 3 months ago. I would not buy newborn or the Duo Wraps again. I would only buy the One Size diaper like this pocket diaper. This diaper would be my favorite diaper and it is my favorite pocket diaper. I also have Charlie Banana and Bum Genius pocket diapers. However, I have some Thirstie AIO which are my favorite. Pro: mircofleece lining is soft and wicks water, the patterns is my favorite, overall very good diaper. Con: pocket diaper so needs to be stuffed.

Better than BG's
My first experience with Thirsties were the duo one size. Yes, I liked the diaper, but no I did not like the fact that my skinny legged (75% height, 3% weight) grew out of the size 1 pocket diaper at barely 4 months, as the rise was too low and she loves to be on her tummy. Then, I discovered the OS pocket diapers. While I've had issues with my BG 4.0's repelling and leaking at daycare and at night, these pocket diapers have been bulletproof. (And yes, I've gone through the whole stripping, bleach, etc- I feel that BG suedecloth just can't handle my super-fast peeing baby whereas thirsties fleece can). No repelling, and the hemp/MF combo is great for super soaker babies. I can sleep easy at night when she has these on, knowing I won't have to deal with a wet and cold screaming baby at 3 am. Our alternative choices at night include Thirsties fitted with a Wollybottoms organic interlock cover which works equally well. I've bought 5 more of these pockets and seriously considering de-stashing my 30+ stash of BG 4.0's because of my new-found love for Thirsties OS. I hope to update this later on and hopefully do not have the repelling/leaking issues that I'm currently dealing with my BG's. Fingers crossed! My only wish is that the Thirsties company considers choosing darker colored piping/lining for their diapers, as white lined gussets can be difficult to sun out- that is my only complaint. Otherwise, I'd highly recommend.

Almost 5 Star Worthy
I really wanted to love this diaper. I like it, it's well constructed, the print is my favorite, quality materials, I really like the inserts that come with it, the double gussets are awesome, I like the flap of pul in the front pocket opening to tuck the insert behind, but it just doesn't fit either of my littles well. On my 4 month old it's kind of bulky even on the lowest rise, though my 2 year old doesn't have that issue they both share a second issue. The waist just doesn't have much elasticity to it making the fit around the waist really difficult. I end up with the front looking loose and gaping, or it just being too tight. It bums me out. I love thirsties duo wraps but the pockets just aren't for us I guess. I'll keep using the two I have but I won't be buying more sadly. If they found a way to fix the fit at the waist these would be my favorite diaper, hands down.

But the microfiber and hemp inserts are great and nothing holds like Thirsties
The open front of this diaper drives me nuts. But the microfiber and hemp inserts are great and nothing holds like Thirsties! That being said, just go with their prefolds and a wrap because the micro fleece on this pocket diaper, no matter what, is gonna hold stink bc it is synthetic. If you like pockets, this is one of the top brands, I just want a solution to the synthetic material problem all pocket diapers have. Nothing a good sunning won’t solve, but it’s just annoying to be constantly correcting. And yes, my wash routine is great, it’s *just* the pocket shells.

great one size pocket
I loved my thirsty all in ones until they started to stink and I couldn't strip them properly due to being an all in 1. He quickly grew out of the size ones and instead of replacing with the next size I decided to go to the one size pockets. I'm glad I did. They are very absorbent and have contained several nasty breast fed blow outs (you know the ones where he hasn't gone in several days and they lets it all out at once). I can separate the inserts and wash them much better than the all in 1. The hemp insert is much more absorbent and combined with the microfiber actually makes a good night time diaper. Plus the sitter really doesn't mind using these diapers as compared to the fitteds with covers.

Great pocket diapers; inserts not absorbent enough on their own
Love thirsties pockets! Double gussets prevent poosplosions and allow you to super-stuff them without causing leg gaps. Built in stay dry layer. Tummy flap to prevent leaks for tummy sleepers. Narrow between the legs. Generous sizing. Inserts really do agitate out in the wash and I have a front loader.Only con is included inserts are not nearly enough absorbency -- you need to add a booster or two for sure.

Highly recommended!
My favourite pocket diaper! Narrow between the legs. Extra gusset to prevent leaks. Adjustable ride. Nice wide pocket opening front and back so insert agitates out in the wash. Pricey but hope to get my monies worth through use.

Love them, will buy more
Great diaper, I love that it comes with both microfibre and hemp. Some leaking around the legs for my 2 month old, but that changed when I added a doubler and his legs chubbed up a bit more. I do recommend for 11 lbs and up. I've bought more since my first Thirsties pocket, and plan on buying more. Great price, North American made and super-cute prints.

great for babies 3+ months
I love this diaper! Fit my son when he was over three months, as it didn't fit him as well when he was a newborn. I lobe the two inserts and the gussets keep everything... contained ;) I recommend this diaper, and I plan on buying more.
