Arrived in simple cardboard box and inside, the case in in a plastic bag.I normal go to the “does it smell of leather?” approach first and this one did not have that new leather smell at all. It did not actually smell of leather at all.The leather looked like it was something from an old leather sofa or belt. It was quite thick and looked a bit on the cheap side. Perhaps this is what they call “distressed”.The lid part is attached, which is a good thing and means that you will not lose it. There is a hole at the bottom for the charging cable, if not wirelessly charging. However, unlike a lot of cases, you cannot see the charging status.I must confess to not being a fan of this case at all and, at £20, I think it is overpriced for what it is.I hope you found this review & photos interesting, informative and useful. This genuine leather case is for the latest Airpods from 2019 onwards, and doesn't fit the previous models. It is for the airpods with the more horizontal case. You simply place your airpods case inside this leather cover which has a natural suede lining so it doesn't scratch your airpods case. The leather cover provides good grip, scratch protection, dust resistance to a point, but has no cover for protecting the charging port. There is no hole so you can see the LED on the front of the airpods case. Looks very rustic and basic, with large unruly stitching and an unfinished appearance. It;s quite bulky compared to other cases too.

This is a very nice little case for wireless charging devices. The device fits in the case with room for your earpods as well - meaning that you can store and charge them at the same time. There is a hole for the charging cable to fit through , and the pouch itself opens easily without clips.The pouch is a very nice brown colour, and the leather feels good quality and soft. it actually looks really nice, and would make a very pleasant gift. The stitching is very neat and even, and adds to the overall quality look and feel. It is really nice to find this kind of product made out of something other than plastic! I am very happy with this item.

This case adds some bulk to your AirPod case, as well as some thickness. It didn’t seem to be to the detriment of my ability to charge on a pad, but I am less keen on the seam, which is probably a necessity in a case that is 100% leather (I have seen a more slimline option that has a leather skin over a plastic inner).The cover for the lid is integral with the base (some are separate) and it does make the top open slightly less fully than without it, but I imagine that will free up with use as the leather creases along the fold line.The case comes in a small box, so will be suitable for easy gifting.

I like the look and fell of this case - which has a rustic charm which is a nice contrast to the high tech Airpods. The seam does stick out a fair way - but I think that could give some extra protection if it is dropped. The leather looks worn in a good way and is quite thin but strong. They are a good fit for the case - apart from restricting the opening a bit - making it slightly difficult to get the pods in and out. I generally use silicone covers for this sort of stuff, but this is an attractive alternative. Cheaper leather cases are available.

I’m not lucky enough to have a pair of AirPods pro but one of my mates is. This is what he had to say about this case which I gave to him as a present:It was quite a loose fit, didn’t give indication of the charging light and didn’t make the case easy to open, kept lifting the top of the case off.I sit my case on a lighting dock, couldn’t do that with this case. Plus it was quite bulky.But on the plus, it will wear well with it being leather but I much prefer the silicone case being slimmer and grippier.

Certainly a step up from most other pod cases I've looked at and a lot nicer than the one I was using before this! The leather is very nice and looks a bit like vintage/well worn leather with a nice tan variant throughout and I quite like the bulky seam, too - it looks very nice. Fits well with still good access and although the leather isn't particularly thick it adds a little extra protection too. It's not cheap for a case, but it;s reasonable value still considering the quality and the leather.

If you want a good-looking case, rather than something strictly functional, this is a very attractive option. The leather feels soft and high-quality, and with use should age well and develop a good patina. It’s very hipster style, but with the thick stitching it’s also timeless.It does the job functionally too: the airpods fit snugly inside, and the case feels as if it has excellent drop protection. Despite its good looks, it’s a tough piece of kit.
