Great value
I used these as part of the assembly of a standing desk project made from Acacia butcherblock countertop. The M6 threads are admittedly a little on the loose side, which you kind of want as it helps prevent galling of threads. You get a bunch of them, and I did not have any issues during install with the provided allen wrench.I used some wood glue as a lubricant during install, which will help keep these sturdy where they need to be. If they are load bearing, you'll want the extra security and will reduce the risk of these pulling out because you get a little heavy with your tightening. It comes with a supplied 9mm drill bit, which is worse than a used drill bit from Harbor Freight. If you're working on a project you really care about, or you're frequently installing these, absolutely get yourself a quality 9mm bit. The provided bit was slightly off square, and has a little bit of wobble. It's also duller than a butter knife - you will NOT want to use this bit in hard wood as I did. Most people that are going to buy these most likely have a full compliment of decent quality bits, albeit the 9mm size is kind of rare. Seriously get a good one.

Poor quality
They will work for their intended task, but I am shocked at the poor quality of the manufacturing. The dill hits are badly off center on almost every piece. The finishing is marred on every piece where the hex head inserts as well.

Kinda torn
I'm kinda torn about this, the inserts are great. They do exactly what they are supposed to do. The Hex key they sent fits fine, but the drill bit (9 MM) is garbage. The funny thing is the sides are fine and sharp but the tip has garbage milling and doesn't even want to drill into wood lol. If you are drilling you have to put way to much body weight onto it to get it to even start to get through wood. This is why I'm torn, a crap bit, but the rest of it is great.

Much better than most fastening methods
I used these in building a closet organizer and they're way better than typical glue/nails or screws when working with particle board. Plus, you can disassemble it if needed. Only minor issue is that you'll either need to make a centering jig for the edge holes or use a doweling jig to get the drilling right. Bottom-line, I wish I'd used these for many of my furniture projects, and I highly recommend them...Very nicely designed and high quality pieces!

Quality product
These are good inserts, but I needed a smaller exterior size. I will keep these for other uses, I just won't be able to use them on the intended job. My fault for failing to check dimensions.

Awesome inserts, and the included drill bit makes it a breeze
Most of the threaded insert kits don't come with a drill bit at all, let alone a correctly sized bit. This made this kit quite easy to use. I drilled the holes to a predetermined depth, and used the included hex key to install them into the pre-drilled holes. No cracking in the wood, and the inserts are strong and threaded easily. Love these!

Great inserts, not perfect
They are definitely not hard! description states they are made from hard high quality carbon steel. Well one of the 12 inserts i installed stripped while being tightened with the provided Allen wrench. Some of the others also had marks after being completely tightened into 3/4 plywood. Still they seem to hold pretty tight! I would buy them again. I would rate them 4.5 starts (round up to 5). Just be careful while tightening them.

The included drill bit must be changed.
The inserts are ok. However, the drill bit that comes with it must be a brad bit. The included bit shifts as you drill. I first used the included bit and about half of my holes had shifted and unusable. I had to move things around a bit and start all over again with new holes. This time I used a brad bit and it. was overall ok (even with a brad bit things can slightly go off which for precision critical jobs can be troublesome.

Great product
Well made but use a slightly larger drill bit for hardwoods or the insert head may strip
