Great way to add 'seafood' flavor to vegan recipes
Nice that the flakes are freeze dried; no need to rehydrate prior to adding to dishes or recipes. Good flavor, just the right amount of seaweed, I will actually use it all before the expiration date. So far, I've used the flakes to add "seafood' flavors to vegan gumbo, crab-free cakes and chickpea 'tuna.' All of the dishes were delicious.

Great product! But beware not to overdose.
Perfect for exactly what it advertises: a natural and organic source of iodine. It's low in sodium too.Wonderful taste, great value. Just be careful about overdosing. Kombu seaweed xan be dangerous in high doses, you shouldn't ever consume more than a 1/4 teaspoon of this stuff on any particular day.Plus side is, if you restrict yourself to just 1/4 teaspoon serving sizes the stuff lasts for months. It's amazing! You'll get more than 100% of daily iodine at just 1/4 teaspoon.

"May contain traces of fish, shellfish, or crustaceans"
Seaweed is a great food supplement for vegetarians and vegans. It has nutrients like omega-3s, iodine, Vitamin B12, calcium, and magnesium.Unfortunately, this packaging lists that it may contain animal products. ("may contain traces of fish, shellfish, or crustaceans") The product listing states "This is a vegan, GMO-free and cruelty-free whole food you can enjoy with peace of mind. Simply delicious!" This is a contradiction to the actual packaging.

Maybe too much iodine
It is a good product, but I listened to a thyroid doctor and he suggested that is not good idea to add kumbo to our diets because we could be getting more iodine than we need and this could be dangerous. I asked him about it and he replied if you don’t have any thyroid problem, do not add any products that contain iodine to your diet. So I stop taking it because I’m concerned.

Live and let live
We live maybe one mile from the shore - Gulf of Mexico - and 'seaweeds' is not something (dirt) we are looking forward to encounter when we go to the beach, which is often. As for actually eating them... it takes Amazon and some entrepreneurial geniuses to market these and sell them for the current price of silver (smart). So I added the recommended half spoon to my omelette and the fact that I am writing this after the fact is prove that I lived. No side effects so far but the day is still young :)Taste was just a little weird but, other than that, so far so good. And it contains iodine which, apparently, is a good thing for as long as it is not ingested in excess, in which case it could become a bad thing. To conclude, it is unlikely that I am going to consume the remaining 100 or so half a teaspoon doses because I can't thing of a good reason for me to do that. But, as 'they' (and some of us do know who 'they' are) say, live and let live.
