CoverGirl Ultrasmooth Foundation Plus Applicator, Tawny 865, 0.85 Fluid Ounce

I am a fan of Covergirl, especially their Queen Collection. I was a bit skeptical about trying this new foundation because I was not sure the color would match my skin color and because I was afraid that it would make my skin look greasy since my skin tends to get oily during the day. I was also interested in how the rubber applicator would compare to a sponge or brush. The first time I tried the foundation with the applicator I was disappointed by the color. I felt that it washed my skin color out. I also do not like the way the foundation feels on my skin. It is a bit greasy. I use the 3in1 liquid foundation and it has a better finish. The applicator did spread the foundation smoothly on my skin but i feel that my brush works better. Plus, with my brush, my fingers don't get dirty as I apply the foundation. I recently received this foundation from Influenster to test & review, and I must say this foundation pleasantly surprised me. I didn't like the smoother that came with the product to apply it, so I used my foundation brush and it created a flawless coverage. The foundation blended really well with my skin, and covered my blemishes. This is the first foundation I have applied in about a year after switching to BB Cream, and I was extremely happy with how lightweight it wa.

I received this product for testing purposes and I'm so happy I did! Although the applicator doesn't work very well (hence the missing star) the foundation itself is great! Very easy to apply when using a brush and it goes on evenly. The coverage is very light and it looks really natural. I have dry skin and the foundation worked fine for me, but I could see how it could make people with oily or combination skin look even more oily. I only had to do a few touch ups throughout the day but overall it's a great product.
