Precise Fitting Custom Orthotic
Mold received within several days of order. Easy, foolproof, step-in foot contour capture. Easy to mail self addressed and prepaid priority mailer box. Postal worker accepted box quickly without weighing and with a smile. I received my orthotics that fit both my shoe and feet with precision about 10 days after I mailed the molds. Love them. Highly recommend. From purchase to use in less than 2 weeks.

Misleading Product
As a Podiatrist Assistant. This is NOT worth the money!! These are the closest thing to “over the counter” inserts. Also, it states in fine print that these are not made for people with flat feet. Don’t waste your money!! (Powersteps are a better brand)

Archcrafters customized solution
Absolutely terrific experience. I am thrilled that I am able to walk around, sleep better and be generally be happier! For someone like me who is on his feet all the time and who has abnormal feet (left foot and right foot are dissimilar with their own special characteristics), my Orthotics and my shoes are extremely important. I have been struggling with this problem for many years (other outside resources have not worked out for me:I have spent a lot of time and money in getting custom orthotics to work in the past). It took me some time to get these to work but given the price, customer service and vendor flexibility, I would highly recommend this solution for anyone that has feet problems (who needs custom Orthotics). Now, I would caution you to be somewhat careful in getting this to work. I will briefly describe some of the lessons learnt below:* First, order the product and make sure to get a good foot impression (just simply follow the instructions and do not do this more than once)* For people that have sensitive feet (for example, some people with Type 2 diabetes), there are two approaches. The Plastazote layer may or may not work (however, it is pretty thick with 2 layers and for someone like me with high arches, this caused knee discomfort since this pushed the knees to the side (L/R). I had to redo my Orthotics replacing the Plastazote layer with Microcell Blue (1.7 mm) and this has worked out perfectly.* The other learning experience, is the Orthotics outline when you order. I recommend using a larger footprint (since you can cut larger Orthotics and make them smaller but not the other way around) and I also prefer full length insoles (this is a personal preference).* Above all, if you make a mistake no problems. Archcrafters is a great company to work with and they provide remediation expeditiously.* I also recommend getting Metatarsal support pads included in your order* Another thing to keep in mind are the shoes. The Orthotics can be quite large and does require some trial and error with the shoes. You may have to get extra wide and perhaps a size or two larger to make this work. I normally use Size 10E and I had to order Size 11 2E to get these to work with my New Balance shoes (note, however, not all Size 11 2E are the same as I have found out with New Balance; Just trial and error at the shoe store until you feel comfortable with the fit prior to purchase)I highly recommend this solution.

Excellent....
I first visited a podiatrist who basically told me there was nothing wrong with my feet after examining them and taking x-rays. My shoes basically wear on the outside ends of the heels and the outside ends of the baby toes. This usually would be associated with a bow-legged walk...but I am not bow legged so at some point I developed poor walking/running posture. This could have been exacerbated by weight gain. The podiatrist at least confirmed that my feet themselves were structurally and physically ok. I really went to him to get a custom set of orthotics that would offset and therefore correct my walking and running posture. He sold me a pair of $50 temporary orthotics and said to come back in 3 weeks for a custom fit pair that would cost me $500. In the meantime, I looked for other options and came across arch crafters which is probably what he would have ordered me with a 500% markup. After the initial process which was detailed and took about 2.5 weeks from start to end, I would say my feet have never felt better. This is still the first few days of using them, but wow, my feet feel like they are working with me instead of against me. Getting back on the treadmill, I used to get outer shin pain toward the top of my shins and since I tried these on, I have not had that particular pain. Maybe some of it is psychological, but they help and I cancelled my appointment with the podiatrist. For now 5 stars, we'll see as time goes along.update Jan 23, 2014. I have used these orthotics regularly and I have to say that THEY STILL WORK!!! My back issued have significantly been minimized to the point I have forgotten about it and my walking posture has really improved and no more outer shin pain. I will stress that if you are working on correcting your walking posture issues, make sure that you are also not creating new ones. There are plenty of videos and links to proper walking posture so don't just blame the orthotics if your results are not as expected or amplified as mine.

A very simple experience! Would recommend!
Got this for my husband for Christmas. They arrived earlier than anticipated, the molding process was simple, and the box comes with a pre paid shipping label. One thing to note is do not throw away the box as this is what you will use to mail the mold back in! The finished orthotics were shipped back to us in about a week and fit perfect!

Something's not as good
I purchased three pairs a few years ago, and love them. I still wash them and wear them. So I figured it was time for a new set and did the same deal, but this new set is just not as comfortable. I don't know what they could possibly do to make them better since they make them to your own foot's impression, but something is not as good.
