I am very disappointed with the tape. I thought the price was great; however, if I had known that the tape would constantly tear apart, I would not have made the purchase.I am not sure how to describe the problem. All I can say is that when I pull the tape off of the roll it tears into pieces. I spend a lot of time trying to tear off a whole strip without it splitting into shards of tape. When I pull tape off of a roll, I want it to stay intact until I want to cut it off. It's a real hassle to constantly try to peel up the split ends. Then, it's hard to pull both pieces until they join together again, and are able to pull off the roll in one whole width of 3 inches across.I waste too much time trying to pull up the torn edges.I highly recommend that you spend a little more money and get tape that peels off intact. You will regret working with this tape.I do not recommend purchase of this product.

This is the worst tape, the worst product I have ever purchased. I ship packages out nearly every day and out of the first 4 rolls of tape in this package I've thrown most of it away. It won't stay in the holder, it doesn't have anything to hold the end of the tape so you are constantly hunting for the edge. It rips, shreds and is never even. It takes 4-5 strips of tape to do what one should do. It doesn't stick to cardboard, it doesn't stick to paper, it does somehow manage to stick to itself and to my hair and fingers. After the first roll of tape I said I would use up what I had and never buy it again. After the second I thought, well it won't take long to use it, I won't waste it. Today I started the 4th roll and I threw what was left away, I cannot deal with this anymore. Save your money, spend a dollar or two more, you will end up throwing this in the trash and buying something else anyhow. It is seriously worse than dollar store scotch tape, that would seal a box better than this. I rarely write reviews but I felt I had to tell others about this stuff.

I was very disappointed in this product as it was very difficult to start the tape up, there was not a clear indication as to where it began. Then while I was using it it did not stay on the dispenser because it kept coming off of it and then I had to restart it all over again and then I had to waste so much tape to start it back again as you are unable to find where it started again. I would never ever purchase this product again. it was a total waste of money to me and I"m a senior citizen and disabled also. It was a very frustrating move for me anyway and this tape made it even more frustrating to me.

This tape is sticky and strong and I've had no trouble with it holding on small to medium boxes and plastic bag packages I use for shipping (nothing over 10 pounds and most 1-3 lbs). Have not used it for storage, so no comment on longevity.Biggest con is that it really likes to peel/split at an angle once you pry a corner up which can be really frustrating if you're in a hurry. Once you get it going you've got to pull very evenly and straight. It doesn't accept the angling and jerking that the top name brand will. Best solution for prepping it for the next use is to stick it on the edge of the desk between packages so you don't lose the edge. When I'm finished for the day, I fold it over onto itself or onto the red tabs to keep the edge pulled up.So, would I recommend it? Yes, if you don't mind a little fiddling in the name of big savings. I'm selling personal items on ebay and any savings on shipping materials is money in my pocket. I can accept some annoyance given the large price difference. If you're working fast or sharing this between people and ease of use is important to you, this might not meet your needs.

I have been using packaging tape for 40 years and this is the worst I've ever found. It might be acceptable if it had a decent dispenser, but the tabs meant to hold the roll open do not work and the tape falls back down onto the roll and is horrible to "unstick" to make the dispenser functional again. Even when I use a paper clip or something to keep the tape from sticking to the roll, it sometimes sticks anyway and then splits when you try to remove!!! I still have four rolls of this tape which I am going to trash and buy something more functional. Waste of $$$$.

This is terrible tape. It's extremely thin and hard to work with. It is almost impossible, even using a well designed dispenser, to keep it from flapping back and sealing itself to the tape roll. When it does this, a very fine bladed knife is needed to gently and carefully peel the adhered tape from itself to void making a horrible mess of the roll. The tape is very hard to keep flat when, for example, trying to tape a label to a package. It wants to fold and crease, and just generally makes a mess. Take my advice. Spring for the expensive tape. I wish I had! Because I bought a six pack of this garbage and now I am stuck with it, no pun intended.

I had thought about doing this a couple of times earlier but this time I had to go back through my orders all the way to November 2015 to find this item so I could leave this review. Normally, I wouldn't take the time but I have had it with this tape. I do a fair amount of eBay sales, return online purchases, etc and so I am a little more than a casual user. I will never use this tape again and as I am almost halfway through the lot of six rolls, am about ready to toss the rest of it. It is thin, cheap and will very readily flip over and stick to itself, roll, crease or otherwise make your package look like it was taped by a toddler. It dispenses from the roll with intermittent degrees of tension which causes you to sometimes dispense more tape than you wanted. Look elsewhere and spend a little more if you have to as this stuff as the old saying goes, is for the birds.
