Again, I love this line of furniture as well as the excellent customer service provided by Furniture Creations, the seller.One thing you MUST KNOW! As noted, there is a filing cabinet under the smaller drawer. MY BIG surprise was that the little top drawer tilts out to reveal a place to (maybe) keep a pen or two or a pointer AND there are two electric plugs so you can charge your phone, tablet, computer, etc. In fact, you can charge two of them. There is also a connection port (ethernet) plug for anyone who needs one. I use wireless for all our stuff, but this may help someone else to know this. There is also another little secret: The table top moved forward to reveal a fairly large storage area!. You could probably hide all your snacks in there in an emergency (ha) or there is plenty of room for a laptop, tablet, etc.Hope this helps all you dear folks.Joanna

Its a lot bigger than it looks. Measure carefully, its almost too big for my room.The finish is 'retail grade' I certainly would not compare this to a fine funiture maker, but its better than the pressboard you'll find in most places.The top opens up to a cavernous work space which will work nicely for a few of my geek-out projects, there is ample storage in the top --- but its not separated space - just wide open ready for your cords to get tangled. The space is VERY deep, and wide.The top front 'drawer' isn't a drawer at all. The description probably said this...but I bought on cosmetics. My bad. This "drawer" tips out hinged at the bottom, and contains 2 power connectors and a network jack. I actually like the idea, even though I didn't read it. If it worked, I would have liked it a lot. However it does not work well. it opens about 1/2 to 3/4 of what it feels like it should the it binds up. The hinge is set too far back and there isn't enough clearance to allow the 'drawer' to flip open as far as it should There is interference between the drawer and the rail . This 'flaw' is bad enough that had I seen it in the store I would have kept on looking. I'll probably find a new set of hinges and install them myself to allow the top to open completely.Frankly, the quality is really poor for the money.Had I seen this in the store, I would have kept on looking.

We ordered the end table and the matching lift top living room table. We received them in a timely manner and they were packaged extremely well. No dents or problems with shipping. Both are well made and solid. The drawers fit well and they both look good. We are very happy with our purchase.

Ordered on 11.1.2013, finally received 11.22.2013 ~ was hoping it would arrive as originally promised 11/8/2013. I liked the end table, I ordered the matching standard table from another vendor. That one arrived as promised and in good shape. I wanted to replace it, they said I could not do that. They did issue a pick up but said I had to reorder it. Well, the price went up. I called 2 x and left messages cause I was told I would get a price match. No one returned my calls.

This side table is great! It's advertised as a end table/file cabinet but it's perfect for someone that uses their laptop or tablet while lounging on the couch. The top slides forward and there is a little cubby area. There are two outlets and an Ethernet connector in the "false drawer" (great for charging your device while its in use). And the main drawer is very roomy. Extremely happy with this purchase!
