LEGO City Fire Chief Car (60001)

My youngest grandson, who is 3 years old, loves the Lego Fire City components. Although the set is suggested for children 5 and up, with close supervision, I feel these are fine for him. The Fire Chief Car was one of the first vehicles I purchased, and he loves it! I had wanted something that my grandsons would enjoy playing with when they are at my house, and the Lego Fire City set is perfect in that role! He plays with these every time he is here, and spends hours at a time playing happily! There are several other parts to the Fire City set, and I will happily be purchasing more over time until I have the complete set. Whether the Legos are your thing or firetrucks, you will be happy with this set that combines both!

This was given as a token "unbirthday" present; little boys do not appreciate big sisters getting presents without a little something of their own to open! This little boy loves Legos and he loves anything fireman related. Need I say anything more?? It is a small set and I was worried that he would be disappointed, but he was quite pleased to have a new addition to his huge collection. He is only 4 but very mechanical; he had no trouble at all assembling the car on his own. The car itself worked nicely once assembled and held up well on multiple emergency fire calls:) An older Lego enthusiast might not get as much enjoyment out of this, but I think most younger children who are still interested in firemen would find it a nice little vehicle.

Legos are great toys for children young and old. They not only helpful in teaching math and assembly, but also de-construction and creative learning. I bought this set for my children and they love the city collection of Legos. This one is simple, with a lesser count of parts and includes two characters.

We put this in our son's Easter basket this year and it was very well received! He immediately went to building it and has played with it everyday with his other legos. The pieces are easy to handle and identify and the instructions clear. The minifigures make the price(5.00 for us when purchased) more than worth it. This set has more figures than most small sets, so if you're looking for value, this is it!

Great set. Only got it because my son wanted the cat! The only cats I found available separately were close to the same price for this set. Anyway, it's a good little kit. Very easy build as you might expect. Tough little car, good figure and then there's the cat. Four stars.

Bought as a Christmas present for my grandson. He absolutely loves LEGO and has uncountable sets. He builds them as soon as he gets them and then keeps them built to play with. LEGO brand is wonderful. Everything I have purchased from this brand is excellent. Grandson is 9 years old and saves up his money and buys a lot of sets for himself. They are great teaching toys are pretty sturdy after being assembled, enough so that they can be played with. My other grandchildren play with them also (6-8 year olds), all except the four year old who is not careful enough with them.

I was actually really impressed with this. My nearly 4 year old has taken to Legos a lot lately. My aunt accidentally got him the itty bitty ones for Christmas (I wanted her to get the duplo size) but that ended up being great because these small Legos keep his interest much more than the bigger ones. I got him this kit on a whim for the price for a Valentines gift (I was worried with the age on the box it would be too difficult) and I was extremely surprised when I realized he had opened it on his own and (looking at the book) had assembled quite a bit of it on his own! We sat down together and finished it and it was a great bonding project together. He was extremely proud of himself and I was very impressed that he could almost do it on his own. He has taken it apart and put it back together different ways, made different things etc...overall it was worth the few bucks it cost. I will definitely buy him more kits like this.
