I now know that the Shih Tzu seem to be a calmer type of dog in the small breeds. I read a number of books about other little breeds. This book was insightful. I had read lots of information online about Shih Tzu, but this book is more extensive. If you end up reading this one, you should also purchase  Little Dogs: Training Your Pint-Sized Companion , which was the most informative book I read about small dogs so far. It is everything you need to know to get started.

This book was very helpful in answering alot of questions I had regarding my Shih Tzu's health and welfare. This a wonderful breed of dog and I want to do everything in my power to keep him healthy.

This is a fantastic book that has help me understanding the Shih Tzu canine race. My pet (my baby is 10 months old) and now I know how to train her to do things the positive way. Thank you!

The book is through in it's attempt to educate the owners of Shih-tzu puppies. It is however, only a general over view and does not go into detail about things such as potty training and basic training in order to have a well mannered Shih tzu

This is a good book for the novice Shih Tzu owner. It contains lots of valuable information on keeping your new pet happy and healthy. I love the history section.
