This is the dash cam to get at an excellent price
This dash cam does a great job. It has a suction cup device to stick it to the windshield, so you can remove it easily and use it in any car. (some dash cams have a permanent sticker device that doesn't allow you to remove it once it is stuck on to the windshield). It is on a swivel connection that allows you to adjust it horizontally and up or down in increments or even 180 degrees around to record something from behind or the side at 90 degrees if you suddenly need to. The quality of resolution is amazing and can go as high as 2560x1080 at 30 fps and even has an HDR selection at 1920x1080 at 30 fps. Evening recording is clear and accurate and you can even read lettering on road signs ( f stop of 2). It starts up as soon as the car is turned on (assuming you leave it plugged in). It shuts off automatically when the car's ignition is shut off. Included is a very long USB cable, which allows you to run the cable along the top of the windshield to the door, down the side and then under the glove compartment back over to the cigarette lighter connection. The cable is therefore never in the field of view of the driver. I bought a 64 g memory stick which will run for about 9 hours if I want to. As it records you can choose whether it does it in intervals of 1 minute, 3 minutes, or 5 minutes, so it is easier to locate a part you may want later. It simply keeps recording after it reaches the end of the interval that you chose and starts another interval. Those sections are also labeled to date and time they were taken if you then look at the files on your computer. If you just keep running it to where it fills up the card, it will continue to record starting with the older recorded material. You can connect the dash cam to your computer and watch it on your monitor and even transfer the files over to your computer, or connect up with the HDMI connection from the dash cam directly a TV screen or other device with HDMI input. It is a very well made, solid device that is small enough to be inconspicuous if mounted on the windshield in front of the rear view mirror. I have seen some complaints about dash cams because you can't focus it at different distances. This is fuzzy thinking (or not thinking at all). The focus on all cams are set for distance (infinity). Optically, any focus that is set for infinity is in good focus if it is 20 feet or further away. Anything you are going to record on a dash cam is going to be 20 feet or more, so there is no need to require a dash cam to be able to focus on something closer for most needs.

Don"t waste your time
The first one I received was a used one. I returned it and received a new one. No matter how I tried with different settings including resetting it it would only record between or 1 1/2 trips. I drive 4 30 mile trips a day. no matter how I set it it would not record. It said it was on the screen but when I would try to review them the player *SplashETech viewer or any other* would tell me the files were corrupt. I even tried 3 different micro cards with no luck. I also tried the card formatted on the computer and on the camera its self. I finally gave up and returned it this morning for a refund. Maybe I just revived a bad on, maybe I should have tried the first one that was use I don"t know. But the other reviews were good. I won't buy another one and I would have because I need 2. I have to start looking agin. If anyone has a camera hat really works consistently please let me know. Thanks and good luck if you buy 0ne.

Dash Cam
I ordered the SplashETech Dash Cam because I wanted to start documenting my rides in my car as I got a job where I drive all over the county I live in. It has been working pretty decently so far. I like the 60FPS setting because it makes the video more smooth. Pretty easy setup despite the spotty directions.

Pobably the Smallest dash cam I ever had ( and I had 3 of them so far).
This dash cam is AWESOME. It's a small and light product, with easy acces to the functions buttons. It uses 2 TF cards to double the memory size, which I love it, due to my long weekend trips. It takes pictures meantime it records videos, which is great when you don't want to share the hole video on the Facebook. Great costumer service, by the way, maybe the best I ever encounter! I used to be a Excellent Server in a table service restaurant, but theirs coustumer service, exceeds my/everyone expectations Thank you again Galaxy Team!

I thought that this camera would be better since it is more expensive but it proved to ...
I recently bought a camera SplashETech FX625 Full HD 1080P Dash. Improved Suction Cup Base.the suction cup held the camera for a week after that it fell everytime I tried to ajust it. I regret that I bought this camera for this price. One of my friends bought another camera for half price but he didn't have problems with the suction cup base. I thought that this camera would be better since it is more expensive but it proved to be the opposite. I wouldn't recommend this camera to anyone. Thanks.

For Macintosh users
Others before me have discussed all the pros and cons of this excellent camera. What I have to add is useful info for Macintosh users. I have a Mac and I noticed that the long, micro-USB cable that came with the camera is special. In order to mount this camera on my Mac, I had to use a standard micro-USB cable. I was then able to see the videos on my screen and play them. I got in touch with the seller and they will include this minor issue in their FAQ.

Won't stay in place; Won't manage memory card correctly
It was an expensive camera, and it doesn't adhere to anything, and it doesn't recognize the correct memory card size. I get to record only 8 minutes on a 32gig card? This is too expensive to ignore, and if I can't get the memory card working properly over the weekend, it's going back. Also, it looks like it was a returned item, and again Amazon sold it as new.
