The whole setup with the eyepiece is 56.8 oz. the eyepiece is 9.6 oz. of that. So the spotter body itself is 47.2 Oz. which is 2.95 lbs.

Does the scope come with lens caps for ocular and objective lenses?

Yes, it does come with basic caps for both objective and ocular lenses on both the body and the eyepiece. When eyepiece and body are connected Objective lens cap and rubber ocular cap over eyepiece will keep the lenses protected. If using in the field I would strongly recommend getting a cover case to protect the body and the lenses.
