i love this bulb
i love this bulb...it produces the same light...or visual experience...that made blacklights so fun and interesting in my yourh. it doesn't really put out any light...just causes the uv reactive things glow and everything white suddenly glows a bright white...but not a bright purple which is what most blacklights today seem to do. i have some blacklight posters and uv art that i want to stand out as it ought without having to actually light up the room. these little lights do just that...though they are small and weak and don't cover much ground, they are small enough that i can mount them on little lamp fittings and position them where they are most effective...close enough that the uv is strong when color reacts and far enough away to ensure complete coverage of the area i want. i tried another bulb...i think 7watt...and it was strong enough to cover the whole area i want and do so strongly...but it shone bright enough to cast shadows so it had to go. i use two of these now in this back room, each to a corner of its own so's to reach two walls. and i am getting a couple more for the main room to add emphasis to a couple areas -- even objects already bathed in bright purple blacklight will glow more purely, more beautifully, with the aid of these small bulbs...

Mediocre Light Bulbs
These light bulbs are ok, they are true 365nm but they unless the bulb is right on top of something that glows it will not glow. It has less then a foot radius and it directional. It also shatters very easy, right of the box one fell maybe 2 feet and then shattered. Depending on where you put it, it may or may not set fully due to its casing. Overall these are not worth it in my opinion. Picture one is lights off with UV rocks and Picture 2 is with lights on with UV rocks.

Great UV light bulb
This is a regular looking screw-in E26 medium base light bulb for 120VAC except that its black on the bottom and clear on the top. This contains a single LED that emits UV light at around 2 watts at a 365nm wavelength. This works great for lighting up florescent paints, some glow in the dark pigments and other florescent materials and pet urine.

Works, but low output (2w)
I was initially disappointed in this light. It was very dim and did not produce a lot of light. It was being used as part of a decoration. I went out and bought a $5 15w cfl blacklight to use instead, however the cfl actually did not produce as much light as this 2w bulb and ended up using this LED light.I stuck it in front if a white sheet and while nothing around it was illuminated (in visible light), the whole sheet glowed brightly from 2-3 meters away. So it works, and works very well. Still it is a small low powered light I think it was a bit much to pay, but I like it

It works as advertised, but it ain't great
There seems to be some confusion over this bulb, its specifications, and its intended use. It's important to note that it is a UV bulb, not a black light. It's a narrow-spectrum UV lamp with a peak at 365nm, which is at the upper edge of human detection. So it looks like it's generating very little ambient light, but anything fluorescent will still glow pretty strongly if it's brought in range of the bulb. Its power rating is a little confusing: Both 2 watts and 600 mW are printed on the bulb. I honestly don't know why the latter rating is there; I tested it and found that it was actually consuming 3 watts. It's fair to assume 1 watt is lost in the conversion to DC, leaving 2 watts to drive the LED.All that said, there are some notable drawbacks to this unit. It uses a single UV LED chip, which is both smaller and dimmer than the average single-chip UV flashlight. It's best used in a room with no other sources of light. The chip is mounted flat on a PCB, and it casts light in a relatively narrow cone. If you have the bulb in a lamp, it will fire most of its light towards the ceiling. It's also not dimmable, which is pretty ridiculous given its price and the fact that it uses a standard LED lamp base with plenty of room inside for the necessary circuitry.I think this light is best used to illuminate fluorescent objects nearby, or perhaps as a low-power UV curing lamp. It works great to light up my small collection of vaseline glass trinkets. If you need a black light, though, this isn't it.

THE BEST BLACK LIGHTS ON AMAZON!
People aren't very smart. As another reviewer said, black lights are not meant to "make my room blue". Most "blacklights" you buy are actually blue lights, that spill into the 400nm range of visible light. True black lights have very little visible light. These 365nm lights are indeed the only real 365nm UV lights on amazon. I can not express how hard it is to find real 365nm bulbs. The reviewer who left a negative video on these bulbs had almost 100 LEDs in a strip and was comparing it to a single one of these bulbs, and it wasn't even facing the glass. Ridiculous. These are 2 wat bulbs with a single chip! You have to buy the right amount for the coverage you want. You cant buy a 2 watt bulb and compare it to a 50 watt party light array.Picture one is with two 50 watt party lighting panels with 16 chips each at 395-400nm. Picture two is 4 of these 2 watt single chip bulbs! They are insanely powerful! Contrary to what some people might have you think. There is almost no visible light emitted! You will not find anything better at this price point anywhere one the internet! If you want bright blue lights then go buy a 50 watt blue light panel. If you want true fluorescence with no blue light pollution, then these are a life saver!
