Van der Hagen Deluxe Shave Soap - 2.5 oz - 3 pk

In the past I used this and enjoyed it. Then for eight months I used aerosol shave lather; they were okay. Then I returned to Van Der Hagan, choosing Deluxe, wow what a difference over aerosol can products. VDH produces a lather that does excellent for lubrication and protecting the skin; considerably better than those aerosol can lathers. VDH lather is not as thick as the aerosol cans, however VDH lather is produced a much better shave.

I've used several of the Van der Hagen shave soaps; the deluxe has a pleasant, understated fragrance, excellent lather. All their soaps are long lasting, I've found.

I have allergies to many perfumes and colognes so when I first bought this soap over a year ago a Walmart and discovered that it only has a mild clean, soapy, barbershop type of smell I liked it. Then when I saw how well it lubricates my beard for a very pleasant shave I loved it!Recently I bought a box of what I thought was the same, but had accidentally gotten Van Der Hagen's "scented luxury" soap, I went ahead and tried it. It's scented was irritating to my allergies, it didn't lather as good as this "Deluxe" soap in my opinion, and was not as lubricating either. So I came here to Amazon and ordered this deal of "Deluxe" shave soap that I like very much.

I have tried every shave soap and cream, whether pressurized or self-foaming or the most-expensive for the shaving brush. This one wins. Wonderful lather, leaves the skin happy, not dry, not slippery/slimy, and doesn't stink. You want your cologne in your cologne bottle, not in your shaving soap. This is the best.

I have been using similar shave soaps for years. I heard good reviews about this brand. I was genuinely pleased with the scent, lather, and shave. However, it lasted the shortest period of time of any soap I have purchased of this size. I would recommend, if you don't mind frequent purchases.

Got this shave soap as Xmas presents for all the men in my family who all have different types of facial hair (course, sparse, etc) and sensitive skin. My brothers both say that after using this soap to shave their faces feel better and they don’t have issues with ingrown hairs anymore.

Be aware.... the boxes are for a glycerin based soap. The soap pic is NOT a glycerin soap. What you will receive is the glycerin based. This will dry out sensitive skin. This product IS NOT the same as the green box

Great shaving soap, lightly scented. Very thick lather makes for a moist clean shave. I like to melt this shaving soap in a small bowl in the microwave, then let it cool overnight.
