MTM 100 Round Rifle Ammo Box 17, 204, 223, 5.56x45, 6x47, Clear Blue

These boxes are great for holding your ammo and you can get the in all caliber sizes. I read one review where someone complained about it being hard to get the ammo out of the slots but I have no problem at all. I think he may have been using the wrong size ammo box for what he was putting in it because I have used 3 different size caliber boxes so far and have never had a problem. If you buy ammo in bulk then you know it almost always comes loose and not individually boxed so these are great to fill up and put in your big ammo box so when you want to go shooting you can just grab a box and put in your range bag or whatever and it makes it so convenient. Most of these boxes hold 100 rounds each until you get into the larger size rifle calibers like 7.62X39 which those boxes hold 50 rounds. These boxes are made solid and latch snug every time. They even come with stick on labels so you can easily see what caliber ammo you have in it plus it also has a card that you can fill out with all the information like the brand ammo, grain, etc. and it lays inside the box on top of the ammo so you can keep up with different types of the same caliber, like if you have some that is for practice shooting and others that you would use for home defense. I have ordered over 12 of these boxes in different sizes so far and plan to order more as needed.

I own several of the 9mm MTM cases. Those save as much space as possible. (when used with 9mm not when used with .380 that is) This case is made to be used with a few different caliber rifle cartridges. It works well for 5.56 and .223 but there is a little extra room on top. I had to load the cases primer side down since they wobbled too much the other way. Unlike the 9mm MTM cases, you can easily get the cartridges out when loading them primer side down. (9mm I load primer side up) Once I filled a box, I tipped it upside down and they all stayed in place. There is probably 5/8ths of inch travel inside the box. (that is the wasted space I was referring to) The Federal Premium 100 pack boxes use some bad glue and come open on their own lately. Also, they are packed in so tight with a row facing one direction and the next row facing another direction. (loose packed to save space really) I don't care for this at the range and wanted a way to organize my ammo a little bit better. Since I use MTM for 9mm I thought these would a nice addition to my ammo box collection. The MTM cases stack very nicely. They fit into each other so you can stack them high without the stack falling over. (the weight of the ammo helps with this too) I like the clear blue ones. I like them over the opaque cases because I can see at a glance what I have left in the case. I will probably get a few more of these in the clear blue.

I have been using this brand and style ammo storage boxes since I was a kid. If you are not abusing the box it can last a very long time. I have one box that I picked up 28 years ago . Granted that most do not last that long but you can easily get a decade of use out of these boxes. The shortest ammount of use that I have gotten from one of these boxes was only a few years when it fell off the shooting bench and landed on a cement slab and broke along the edge and corner of the box. But that is definitely a rarity since I have had them fall from greater heights such as when I had a shelf collapse in my reloading room and dumped about 25 boxes of various rifle rounds on the floor from a height of about 4 ft and not a single one broke. I will continue to use this brand and style of ammo storage boxes in the years to come. Since they are durable and are a cost effective storage solution for ammo. I definitely recommend these boxes to friends and family because of the low cost and the high quality of the boxes. That last a long time under normal use.

Keep your ammo separated. This is a very good compartment to hold on to your ammo. If the box gets wet, it’s not a problem you can wipe it right off. If you have some ammo, you need separated from other ammo this is perfect for it. Easy to carry in a Range bag.

Great for Rem 223 rounds. Well made. Good hinge. Would buy again.

I USE THIS FOR .223 REM AND THEY FIT GREAT WITH LITTLE TO NO WIGGLE. IT WOULD WORK FOR 300BLK AS LONG AS YOU ARE NOT PUTTING THE CASES BACK IN THE BOX AS THE SHORT CASE WILL FALL BELOW THE GRID AND IT MIGHT BE HARD TO GET IT BACK OUT AGAIN.
