The dark chrome latches will work well with black cast iron handles and knobs. The size of the latch refers to the total length of the latch mechanism, This measurement is taken from the front edge of the plate to the furthest point on the cassette. In our opinion the measurement you should be considering is the distance from the front edge of the plate to the centre of the mortice opening, this governs how far your handle will be from the door edge. With the 3" latch this measurement is 57mm and the 2.5" latch it will be 45mm. All our latches come with striker plate and matching wood screws. Please note that the part which will be situated inside the door is not finished in the chrome/dark chrome.
