Excellent and looks smart

Product is good, but could be better. A number of reviews suggest that the screws supplied are poor quality. I think the issue is probably more related to the fact the fixing holes are not countersunk, so the screws supplied sit proud making you want to force them in. Ordinary wood countersink bit does the job easily - looks good and no proud or broken screw heads.

This was perfect for the job in my en-suite. It covered the slight imperfection in floor height (which were not even) well. The price was excellent and the quality of the material very good. Well worth the money. Delivery was quick and the material was well packaged.

I ordered this as a 3 pack and they oddly seem to have sent me 6, which I'm not complaining about.The strips themselves seem to be ok (and I actually noticed that they seem to be the exact same ones the previous owners had used for the ground floor of our house, where we've been living for over 5 years with no problems).However, the screws that come with it are awful, don't use them.The first one I started to screw in (just with a hand screwdriver, not even a power tool), became threaded before I'd even finished screwing it in and became a pain to get back out. Bought these as a temporary fix to cover up exposed gripper pins from badly fitted / poor quality carpet. I slotted these under the existing carpet transition strip. No more toes caught on sharp pins!The Good:Straight aluminium strips with protective film on top side. Pre-drilled holes. Easily cut down with hacksaw. Protective film peels off easily, without leaving residue. Delivered in robust tube.The poor:Only supplied with 5 screws per doorway.Screws are soft and it’s easy to strip the head, which I did.Pre-drilled holes might not line up properly for your door, needing you to cut twice.Tips:Check where fixing holes are before cutting. A fixing against the doorway edge can be tricky and will probably result in a stripped thread.If clamping a thick carpet + underlay, as in my case, angle the screw slightly to result in a flat finish when it’s clamped. Just press down on the strip firmly with your hand to see what I mean. The aluminium does form to the screw head, so you should end up with a flush screw, but it’s not forgiving if the screw is off angle.Final tip, have some spare screws on hand, I had some in the bottom of a toolbox that did the job.
