Good idea, good execution
I bought this to help with a very clogged condensate line in the house we just bought. Other attempts at cleaning out the lines were unsuccessful, but after installing this and running some water under pressure (you need the water line adapter from the tools package also) through it, the clog was removed, the line now drains perfectly and a pricey A/C repair visit was avoided.Installation is fairly easy for a DIYer with some (very) basic plumbing skills. This, of course, assumes that your condensate lines are easy to reach. Ours were, and the entire installation took only about 30 minutes including prep work, cutting the existing pipe and installing the cleanout. The design is very simple and basically fool-proof. All in all, a good item if you don't already have a cleanout and/or have a very clogged line.

This should be installed in all drain lines for easy cleanout.
This is a great drain clean out product. It installs easily into the drain line and allows you to easily access the drain line line and blow it out. I used the DiversiTech GG-1 drain gun, but you can use any similar device. I love that they provide the 90 degree-angle accessory tool that you can insert into the device for easy blow out. It even comes with a handy little rubbery strap that allows you to hang it on the clean-out lid so it is always there and you don't have to go searching for it. It is obvious that this cleanout was designed by a service tech. It is simple, but it works great. I highly recommend this condensate clean-out. It just doesn't get any easier than this.

Very handy little gadget that is easy to install and use!
Inexpensive little "clean-out" device that was very easy to install. I'm kind of anal about keeping pipes clear of debris and yucky stuff like mold so having this device installed between my condensation pump and the "trap" really is a nice time saver. I just flip it open and throw the shop vac down inside and "presto" pipes are clean again. Woohoo!

Couldn't be more pleased
This is a fantastic gadget. It was easy to install by myself. I can easily flush or access my condensate line for my HVAC. I even had the AC guy comment on it when he was out doing routine cleaning of the unit. He was facinated and thought it was the coolest thing. I'm very happy with the purchase. Shipping was fast. Installation was easy. Functionality is perfect.

It works
I had my A/C guy install it, and last week used it to blow snot out of the drain. I used HP air. It worked rather well. got half a cup of snot, and poured a cop of Clorox into the drain using the same gizmo. Your will need a flexible rubber nozzle. So I used a rubber drain cleaning nozzle (look like a black rubber sausage with a pin hole in one end), and I jury-rigged an attachment to a gun that snaps onto my airhose.

Fits standard drain lines - should come with the insulation, but it doesn't.
This was a very welcome improvement to our drain lines. We were having to blow the lines out twice a year and getting that done without special tools and effort was getting to be too much trouble. Installing these "in-line" gives us a handy "door" to open and the ability to either blow the lines using the fitting-and-flap arrangement provided, or, to blow/wash the lines using the "L" adapter to clean the lines in either direction easily - with air, water, or wire. Use a sharp cutter on your old PVC lines to minimize the chance of shattering and you should be good to go. This should have come with the "optional" insulation kit included. We were able to cobble enough old "wrap" to take care of things, but since not everyone has any extra lying around - or, may tear up what they have getting things installed - it should just come with the fitted insulation kit in the first place. Why spend any more time in an attic that absolutely necessary, and, it just makes for a cleaner job to have all the right new parts at the start. Again, good improvement to our situation. New installations should just have these on day 1...
