My rather expensive Braun hair cutter died after just 2 years service - and Braun wanted £50+ to repair it......So, I popped it in the bin and decided to go a cheaper route. Based on the reviews, I opted for these devices from Wahl. At £28, they are a bargain. A third of the price of my Braun and everything works so much better!You get the hair cutter, a smaller trimmer, a carry case and all sorts of accessories.The hair cutter is rechargeable - with a single charge lasting for ages. The cut length is determined by which coloured guide you opt for. There is a more than adequate range to choose from! There is also a small bottle of machine oil. The recommendation is to apply a tiny drop on the blades prior to use.I found the cutter extremely easy to use and surprisingly comfortable. It's also so much quicker than the Braun. I am impressed.The smaller trimmer is battery (1x AA) powered and works great for fine trimming around the ears etc. It is a tad cheap and cheerful but, to be fair, it does the job....So, overall this package represents remarkable value for money - so why pay so much more for a "branded" product?As you may have guessed, I am rather chuffed 😀 😊

It is a decent trimmer but I would not class it as “pro” as my previous one 5x better but also 5x more expensive.The charging time is 12 hours so you will need to leave it on charge overnight.It does miss some hairs as the blade has big chunky teeth .

There are times when you muddle along with your old gear and think “it still works, so I don’t need to replace it”. That’s what I thought about my old clippers.I’d owned a wired set of Whal clippers before but when they wore out I bought a named brand alternative (beginning with R). They were ok to start with but they seemed to get blunter and clog frequently, until it got to the point that I think they were ripping out more hairs than they were cutting.These clippers are so far beyond brilliant by comparison. They give a fast, even cut. The guards are colour coded for ease and THEY’RE WIRELESS!! It’s great that they can work wired too, but the power cable is a bit short so I doubt they’ll ever get used that wayBattery life is great. Quality is great. Kit contents is good, but the battery powered mini clipper is really noisy and as it has no guards it’s more of a gimmick than anything else - especially when the clippers themselves are so easy to use for detailing.Overall, a brilliant purchase that I wish I’d made months ago

I have used Wahl for years. Bought this to replace very similar old one. Had started to get blunt.Good weight and feel, and the matching trimmer. Always great quality with their hair cutters. The combs on this one seem to bee of shorter depth than my last ones. I have found that Wahl trimmer quality varies greatly, this one is good.Although I Wish I had read the details more fully.Though the trimmer is of a good looking quality, the trimmer is not rechargeable but is 1AA battery. It also does not come with any combs which usually come with the trimmer. Luckily I had not disposed of my old one so could use the combs off that.

Bought this shaver and I have used it 3 times so far and it is brilliant, the colour coded blades really help. Well worth the money, and it looks really funky haha. If you need one have a look you won’t regret it 👍👍

Light weight, plugging into the machine a bit fiddly. Hope cable is replaceable. Blades are a bit flimsy I think! Machine itself works well, only used once so far. Has a case that’s a plus

These Wahl Colour Pro cordless hair trimmers are decent for the price. They do the job and trim hair well, and the set came nicely packaged with everything included.The main issue is the guard attachments - they’re very easy to break when removing or switching them, which is frustrating and makes me worry about long-term durability. The trimmers themselves are fine, but if you’re not careful with the guards when changing or cleaning, they won’t last.Overall, a decent budget option, but handle the guards gently.
