The syngonium, or nephthytis, known as the arrowhead plant, is a houseplant that's been around for decades. Natively, this aroid grows in the understory canopies of Central and South American rain forests. Its arrow shaped leaves are truly unique and distinguishable. Add a variety of colors and variegation and this is a plant that makes for a terrific show piece. It grows upright and compact in its first few years but when it matures it will vine outward or climb. Try this plant in a hanging basket in a low to medium lit spot in your home. It doesn't need much light. Or keep it trimmed as a tabletop centerpiece. The cut stems can even be water propagated to make new plants. Arrowhead plants, in numbers, remove lots of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as benzene from the air. Packaging and Shipping: Each plant comes with a Houseplant Homestead care guide card and packaged with a pot saucer made from recycled plastic water bottles in our proprietary corrugated plant holder box. We top the soil with Spanish moss to keep the soil secured, then wrap the pot with care insulated in eco roll paper. Our houseplants are then shipped in recyclable corrugated cardboard boxing including custom recyclable packing tape. We will constantly strive to improve our packing and shipping process to ensure you receive happy and healthy plants while being as green and Eco friendly as possible. Lastly, please note that your purchase and support of Houseplant Homestead will help us to contribute to the preservation of our Earth's rainforests.
