These Korean Rice Noodles taste nice and I'm keeping the package in the freezer, for the ones I didn't get to cook yet.

First time trying tteokbokki,very yummy a bit chewy. Make sure to but sauce to them

Product came in air tight package, once open intense smell of chemicals. Washed and soaked a few minutes before cooking a handful of the rice cakes. While cooking the smell intensified of chemicals, immediately threw away. Did another batch to confirm what I was smelling, it was very intense. Had to throw away the whole package. Would not recommend this product.

Just like the other reviewers, I was nervous when I saw the "Keep refrigerated" stamp on the package. I live in a very hot environment and it was summer (Over 100 temps). I opened the bag and there was a slightly fermented smell, so I nearly threw them out. However, the frugal voice in my head told me to not waste food. I was fairly certain that it wouldn't kill me. Humans eat fermented things all the time...I told myself lol. Anyway, with trepidation I cooked my dish and readied myself for a terrible night. It was fine. I made several dishes with that package and none made me or my wife ill.I wonder if something is lost in translation here. There are Tteok that are sold in the refrigerated section of the markets, and certainly, the freshly made ones are not shelf-stable, but fresh rice cakes are sold out at room temp and the instant rice cakes are sold in the isles, so maybe it's not too bad for it to not be refrigerated? I'd feel better if the temps it had to sit in were cooler, but I would buy it again.After I got over the worry, the tteok themselves are delicious! very dense and chewy.

Would prefer it to be packed with ice but as it was sealed, it was okay.

I had ordered two bags of this product, but when itarrived, one bag had a tear in the packaging and considering the pandemic, could not be sterilized properly. Upon trying to initiate a replacement for the damaged package, I was informed that this product was not eligible for returns OR replacements. There isn't even an option for me to do ANYTHING about it.This is not only very poor customer relations, but is downright criminal. I spent money on a damaged product with no chance of having my money returned. This is very upsetting.Aside from the obvious upset, the other package in the set was fine and tasted as it should. However, I will not be purchasing from this seller again.
