Cat's Cafe

Adorable characters, beautiful illustrations and silly stories that can make even a picky reader a fan: what’s not to like? Bright and easy to read, this book helped my 7/8 year olds want to read. It was even requested for a birthday present! There’s also a follow-up book we are excited to get next.

This comic is adorable, beautiful, inclusive, uplifting, and supportive of mental health. Reading the comics makes my heart happy. They are simple and yet deep. I wish to know more about every character, and I wish that this was a real place I could visit. All of the animals have their own struggles, like anxiety, depression, self-doubt, loneliness, etc., but they only love each other and lift each other up. Owning this book and flipping through it is good for my mental health, so I immediately ordered the second book as well.

Cats Cafe is like a big cup of coffee with cream and sugar while you cozy up with fuzzy little creatures. You just can’t help but feel better while you do.

I love Matt's work and art. It's sweet, funny, kind and accessible for everyone. All the characters have original, well thought out and detailed personalities. The story lines are sweet and heartwarming. The focus on mental health, caring for others and kindness is awesome and much needed. I love this book so so much!! Another one can't come soon enough!

I became a fan of Cat’s Cafe last year when I saw the Rabbit’s Care Package comic, which reminded me of a really rough time in my life. I’ve since bought myself that comic and a plush Kiwi. When I saw Matt was releasing a book, I immediately preordered it because I knew I had to have it.The book is filled with comics I have seen online and some that were new to me, and I adored every single one. I sat down and read the book in two sittings, and then I read it again. I’m so glad that there is a book out with so many comics that fit every mood and situation a person could be going through. That Tarpley includes so many real-world, mental health issues is the reason I’m such a big fan.A fantastic read with all your favorite characters. The picture quality is stunning. I can’t recommend this book enough.

Mr. Tarpley's masterful artwork and empathic stories and characters touch and elevate the spirits of his readers. I have been following him on GoComics since the Cat's Cafe opened and have never been disappointed with a strip or arc. His characters are likable and wholesome, even with their faults and failings, but they help each other (as should we all !) in their interactions. It's a friendly delightful world at Cat's Cafe, and this collection lets me relive al that, when I need a boost - Thanks, Matt !

I love this book. We pre-ordered it and waited until the day came. The author is clever in discussing, describing, and showing things that are sometimes hard to talk about, but are are the truth. It is full of wholesome goodness, tear jerking stories, and love. We need more goodness in this world. I have shared my love with everyone at work, they are wanting copies now. Thank you Mr. Tarpley. You are awesome!

The author did an amazing job putting this collection together. I had the pleasure of meeting him at a convention in Chicago and he is a pleasure. His comics bring me so much joy everyday and I'm so happy to have this collection. Some will make you cry, some will make you laugh, some will relate with you on a personal level, all will improve your day and mood.

My granddaughter asked me to get her this book. She had borrowed it from the library and loved it so much she just had to have her own copy.

Cat’s Cafe is a lovely webcomic that I first discovered on Go Comics; recently the creator, Matt Tarpley, released a physical book collecting a few hundred of these strips. This is a very gentle comic, with anthropomorphic animals of all types dealing with issues of anxiety, low self-esteem and other psychological conditions. All of them meet frequently at a coffee shop run by Cat, who serves compassion, friendship and love along with lots and lots of caffeine. I find it a very touching comic strip; if you prefer edgier material, this one is not for you, but if you like gentle and sensitive characters, give it a try!

Vor allem Kiwi und Pinguin haben es mit angetan. In dem Buch gibt es viele Comics, die bereits online veröffentlicht wurden, aber auch einige neue Beiträge, die eigens für das Buch erstellt wurden. Die kurzen Bildergeschichten bringen mich immer wieder zum lachen, aber auch zum nachdenken.
