Not a tarot deck
I was unaware that this deck was created by heather, i thought i was buying a major arcana deck like the description says, but it is acutally a different deck altogether with tarot like aspects. I asked for a refund but since this product is something she made up i think she took it personally as an attack on her card deck, and has refused a refund. I think if the description would have said that it was a deck she created and that the cards arent even the same names as the major arcana in tarotni would not have bought it at all.

A MUST FOR THOSE WHO HAVE STAYED AWAY FROM TAROTโฆ...
For many reasons, until now, I have stayed away from the Tarot, as I had no desire to know what the future held in store meโ if this is even possible. Through a strange series of circumstances I was drawn to the fascinating beauty of the cards of the The Syzygy Oracle, not realizing they were Tarot cards. For the first time in my life I was tempted to find out what these mysterious cards could add to my life and what a delightful surprise! Without having to consider what the future may hold, in these intriguing illustrations (that I am learning are based on the original Major Arcana) I am able to find much to think about as I reflect on the challenging experiences of my life (past and present) and can now see another dimension to those strange synchronicities that seem to spring up from nowhere. I really appreciate now having the book as well as the deck of cards because, in addition to the readings and the many ideas for a weekly spiritual practice it offers, I love the enlarged black and white illustrations of each card at the start of every chapter that gives me a larger view of the intricate details in the cardsโ they have a powerful beauty in themselves. Finally, for the first time, I am able to understand something about the kabbalah - what a great introduction to this mysterious teaching. Definitely the book and card deck is something I will treasure and enjoy in the years to come and I will make a point of gifting friends with this set.

Beautiful insight provoking images
This deck is full of beautiful illustrations by a graphic artist steeped in the mystery school traditions of tarot and of kabbalah and the graphics are a wonderful blend of those traditions. Psychologist Carl Jung called such a melding of energies a Syzygy, hence the title of this deck which comes with its own little guide of soul searching questions you can ask yourself prompted by the cards. Thus you are guided to find answers from your intuition. My women's meditation group has been using this deck for years as seed thoughts and images for meditation and we all find this deck leads to greater depth in our discussions and meditations. in the beginning I put it along side the Marseilles tarot deck so the correlations would be clear but eventually everyone preferred the Syzygy Oracle because the illustrations are so beautiful that they are not disturbing little classical images and more insightful. To take full advantage of Heather Mendel's insights we found the companion Syzygy book invaluable.

Beautiful and Life-Enriching Deck
I've been a student and kabbalah for about fifteen years now and have enjoyed Heather Mendel's syzygy oracle immensely. The cards speak a language of beauty and balance and engage the inquirer on multiple levels. The book and the cards help create an expansive context within which to see ourselves and our journey back to wholeness. The insights I've gained using this deck have been both therapeutic and transformative.

Beautiful creation, meaningful oracle
I love this set of cards as they stay with heart of the matter, major arcanas, and additional 10 cards that bring depth to the reading. The fresh look of the cards frees the psyche to come up with original concepts and ideas rather than go with the traditional tarot images and their prescribed meanings. I love this set, I recommend them highly and give them as a gift.

beautiful, resonant, and unique
A deeply considered and profound walk through the Tarot images from a Jewish and feminist mystical perspective. Heather has engaged with the traditional language of the tarot, connected these beloved images with the cherished letters of the Hebrew alphabet, and expressed the connections through stories of feminine heroine-mythic archetypes. From this cross fertilization, she brought a beautiful deck into being.

Original and profound work
I find Heather's work synthesizing tarot and kabbalah consistently compelling. I've had this deck for a number of years now and often return to it to deepen my understanding of some issue. The artwork is elegant, the symbols and structure resonant. Highly recommended for those, especially women, interested in exploring the edges of tarot, kabbalah and the sacred feminine.
