EQM 580, Queen – EMF-Free Water Heated Mattress Pad Warmer – Dual Temperature Control – WiFi Enabled & Eco-Friendly – Helps Soothe & Relieve Stress, Muscle Soreness, & Tension

I've had this system for about two years now. I have now relegated this to a spare bedroom and purchased an Eight Sleep mattress cover Pod 3 system. The biggest drawback on the EQM 580 system is mattress cover. It just lays on top of the bed and is not anchored to the mattress. Over time the cover bunches up in some areas and moves around the mattress. This causing the system to not heat the mattress cover properly. The Eight Sleep system is securely on the mattress. They sell two different encasements; one for short height mattresses and one for tall height mattresses. They then have two straps that go from one side to the other and a third strap that goes from the head of the mattress to the foot of the mattress. The pad then zips on the encasement. This is a much more secure design. Also on the EQM580, the mattress pad and the actual heating pad are only attached to each other at four points. I installed the king mattress pad on a queen bed and it is drapes over the sides just a bit but overall is a better on a queen than a king.Navien Mate could make their system much better by redesigning the pad portion. It need to be like a fitted sheet when it is put on the bed; like how the Eight Sleep system is. The pad that has the water going through it needs to be better anchored to the mattress pad it goes in; having an attachment point at only each corner really isn't sufficient. The head unit could stay the same, they should develop a new mattress pad and sell it as an upgrade for the older units.

It heats up a lot quicker than I thought. The fast heating mode will get it to the right temperature pretty quickly. The unit is pretty quiet. You can hear it if you really listen for it, but it's not loud at all.My main complaint is that getting in and out of bed will eventually cause it to start to fold a bit and you have to smooth it back out. It's also a little bit stiffer than I expected so the bed isn't quite as soft as it was without it. Lastly, I wish it was just slightly wider. The king size one is short about 2 or 3 inches on each side for our bed. Maybe our bed isn't a normal size or something

Cons: Very difficult to register App account. Doesn’t process @gmail addresses. Once installed the app will only do what the included remote does. It Does Not let you schedule reoccurring On/Off, so you will have to remember to turn the until on every time before bed. The app appears to not work with Alexa. Customer service tried to help, but concluded everything was good on their end, so I should keep trying.Pros: easy to setup heater itself, extremely quiet, holds temperature accurately, and relatively small compared to other units. The remote is also high quality. Customer service is an actual person in the US opposed to a call center in India. Very good voice response from the unit while making setting adjustments.

After sleeping on the mat, I cannot imagine getting into a cold bed. Shoulders to feet are warmed. I wake up feeling balanced now and not angry that I have to get up. With the first few weeks, I would rather stay in bed because it felt so good. Now I am used to it, so I just wake up well-rested and happy. The mat is not a distraction. I purchased a Japanese electric mat that goes under carpet, but was using on my bed. I like this mat better because of the heated water instead of the electric wires. There is a gentle heat where I do not feel like I would get burned. Overall, I am very pleased with this product for improving my sleep. That makes it worth the price for me.Thanks go out to Youtuber Megan Bowen who mentioned the this product as an item to make it through winters in Korea.

It's been a year since I got the machine. It was working well last winter but failed on me after I took it out for this winter. Also, the machine itself is not 'easy' to use. So many warnings and restrictions that you have to look out for. Cleaning & draining can be time-consuming.Do not recommend if you have higher or softer matress.

I noted that this product is not compatible with Korean version app. The pain point is that US version app, which is the only app that is compatible, is extremely outdated and has limited feature sets. It would be great if they allow this product to be compatible with Korean version app or update US version app to the same level.

I was excited to get this product. For ~$600 for a king heater, I liked the idea that you could have dual temperature settings, etc.However, after downloading the app and trying to configure the on/off times it is clear the application and the entire User Interface was designed by an alien (i.e., someone not from this planet).1. You have the Time on the Phone! Use it to allow me to schedule the time the heater comes on and off!2. Thank you for giving me 10 min increments. After all when testing it out I typically want to wait 10 minutes to see what is going to happen. I am an adult (most of the time) and would love to program this exactly.3. There is a personalized menu that does soemthing, who really knows. I think if someone were describe this to me it would be just as dumb.4. I called customer support, the answering machine simply said "we are closed, call back". The recorded message could have said: 'Please call back between 10am and 5pm SOME TIME ZONE.This is a great example of probably reasonable product that the company completely screwed up on because most people plug it in and turn it on. This is NOT a product for anyone that wants customization

Feels like hot speed bumps on your back. If that’s what you like then I would recommend the product. Figment is poor, service is poor. Just a waste of time. I rarely write reviews but this pissed me off too much. Good luck.
