Grumpy Cat Board book – Picture Book, March 5, 2013

The book is great but I didn’t realize how small it was. My fault!

I wanted to get this book for my niece for Christmas. She had just turned two and her mom asked me not to get the board book, but to get the regular style so it would grow with her. I wish they still produced this as regular style, but a used library book is better than no book. She loves it, every time I go to visit she appears with this book wanting it read to her. It always seems to be out, seldom on the shelf, which means she's getting it read a lot because they keep their house picked up. It's a cute story with a lovely lesson to be learned.

My 3 year old son loves this story. He knows every word! We first read it when we checked it out at the library. The only issue is that I assumed it was a full size book, like the one at the library. That is my mistake. What bothers me is how small it is. It's the board size book like a baby chew board book. The story plot fits my 3 year old well, but the size of the book makes him think he's a baby. He keeps turning this book down, asking for the "giant" one from the library instead. But, if you are looking for a good story, you've got that here. Great author!

I think the story is sweet but there was some repetition of the words within the story that was a tiny bit annoying, and there was also a line that directly imitated another book by this author (not sure which book came first, but a slight rewording would have allowed her to follow her plot format without repeating herself). Grumpy Cat is pretty grumpy, but even though he walks away from Kitten who wants to be his friend, he doesn't want her to get hurt. My 3.5 year old likes the book a lot, and I like the board version for sturdiness.

This is my daughter second favorite book, and I am a fan. I love to meow like a cat when I read the part of the ginger kitten, which she enjoys and she mimics me which is adorable. She is two years old, and this book is perfect for her.

I read this book with my Pre K students (4- and 5-year-olds) and they loved it! The pictures are simple and clear, and they had a great time predicting what would happen. They were nervous when the orange kitty is about to fall (oh no!) but all got excited when I turned the page ("He saved her!!") You can use this to talk about feelings, as well as how to treat others. It was especially great with a class, because it shows how to react to someone who is being mean or grumpy--maybe they just need a friend. Very sweet story, we loved it.

good story, but some of the pages can be hard to read because of the black font on dark blue background on a few of the pages.

Super cute, my boys love this book

Disappointed in the quality of the book. I knew it was second hand, however it said it was in great condition. Its got bent over corners, creases, scribbles inside and generally not in good condition at all. I expected some wear and tear but if i had known it would be that poor, i wouldnt have ordered.

This story didn't hold our attention. The plot is pleasant enough but it isn't told well and the illustrations are "meh".

L ovelly little book

Lovley story about a grumpy old cat and a kitten and a new freindship between them both! I saw this book before I purchased from amazon so I knew what it was like. I chose amazon for the great value of money & free super saver delivery and their excellent service.
