I was looking for a new set of scissors to assist with grooming our dogs and cat. The last set purchased just didn't seem to keep a decent edge. I found this set as a new and popular option on Amazon. We received it fast, and just happen to be grooming one of our dogs the next day. The selection of sizes was nice to be able to grab the right pair for the situation. Trimming the hair around the eyes of our dog was made so much easier with a nice sharp pair of scissors with blunt ends. We are able to maneuver around much easier without the worry of poking. I highly recommend these. Not to mention, they come with a nice case as well.

I had always thought that getting good quality hair or fur cutting scissors would be very expensive. This set seemed to have good reviews and the price was reasonable so I broke down and gave it a try. I am very happy with the purchase! I have two sheep-a-doodles that have to be groomed regularly and these scissors are the best I've used so far. They are comfortable and cut perfectly. My dogs will lay down on my lap and fall asleep while I trim them. Clean cuts every time so far. No pulling or bending hair, just smooth cuts.

I was really excited to get this grooming set, as my groomer had shut down, due to Covid-19.Since the weather was starting to get hot in Southern California, I knew I would have to groom my two mini poodles myself. I did my research and ordered a clippers set. Watched and studied a bunch of videos and read all instructions. The outcome, not bad. Nail clipping is still tricky for me. Thankfully the vet is still open.Now for the scissors set. Everything came wrapped up and inside a black leather carrying case. I would have been fine without this set, but I really wanted the “thinning shears” that I kept seeing in all the grooming videos. That is the most important part to smoothing over the lines on a pet from the clippers. Well, those were the only scissors that didn’t cut! I looked online to make sure I was using them correctly, and I was. But they kept tugging on my pet’s hair/fur. Also, but this wasn’t a deal breaker for me, the pink round finger cushions, keep coming out while grooming. So I contacted Amazon and they took care of my situation.So overall, the set is “okay” (hence the 3 stars). All the other scissors cut nicely. I love the rounded edges, so I don’t poke my dog accidentally. And the comb is nice too.

After paying $50 to get my dog to look like a skin head thought i would try doing it myself bought these good quality set of scissors, took me a few hours to do but quite pleased with result. The brave give them a try. Save a fortune and get your dog to look like you want it to.

The overall quality of this set appears to be good, but I gave it low ratings for two reasons:1) The longer straight shear has a 2" blade. IMO that's too short for my needs. I guess I didn't realize just how short the cutting blade of a 5.5" straight scissors is.2) I don't have particularly big hands, but the thumb holes for all the scissors was too small for me. I had to remove the plastic insert.I returned this set and ordered one with longer cutting blades.

These scissors will cut dog hair, cat hair, nose hair human hair, ear hair, toe hair, belly button hair, eyelashes, eyebrows, paper, light cardboard, thin clothing, string, plastic, food containers, vacuum sealed bags and much much more.Scissor finger holes are a little small, but if you are under 18 years old, have dainty hands, weigh less than 80 lbs. you should be good to go. If you are male and have even a below average hand size, you might as well hang it up.... just go buy a pocket knife. These scissors are sharp so I would recommend not letting your young ones run around the living room chasing your dog around acting like Chucky from child’s play.

I’m very disappointed because this set is made of good materials, are very sharp, and they should last a long time. However, the finish workmanship is very poor. The curved scissors and the thinning sheers do not cut well unless the adjustments are set very tightly which makes them difficult to use. The two straight cut scissors are sharp and have a smooth action which is what I expected of all the scissors. I will be returning the set.

Very nice set of grooming tools. I've been *trying* to groom my 3 squirrely dogs during quarantine so after buying cordless clippers and various brushes and combs, I watched a You Tube video and they had curved scissors for trimming, so there you go.They're plenty sharp and so far, my only observation is that the blunt scissor's little screw loosened a bit and I was able to tighten it back and the little pink plastic thing in one finger hole fell out. I just put it back in. No biggie. Not even sure it's needed.Anyway, have fun and give your doggos a boop from me! lol

As a groomer, I was hesitant to purchase these. The scissors cut rather well. They are actually very good. I recommend them.
