Otomi Stencil Pattern - Reusable Stencils for DIY Wall Decor

There was definitely a learning curve, but the key is to work quickly! I found using a 4" roller with 3/8" nap was best for my project. I absolutely LOVE how it turned out in my bathroom, though! It's such a fun detail. Everyone who comes to visit is impressed with the fun accent wall. It isn't perfect, but the busyness of the pattern distracts from imperfection in execution.

Needed something to spruce up a dated ugly house we purchased this January. This was by far the easiest stenciling project I have ever done and it has gotten rave reviews from friends and family. I did the back ground light green and the animals grey-blue. the stencil is sturdy enough I could use it for a few more rooms easily. clean up was a bit of a drag as the paint got pretty thick on it before I decided to wash it but I now know my lesson for next time. make sure you get some dense foam rollers to go with it they make the project much easier

This was pricey! Especially to mail. But it was worth it and my wall looks fabulous!

I was initially found a peel and stick wall paper that has a similar pattern, but it sold out before I could get it. A few friends warned me about stencils. They said that they were a pain and that the paint would bleed. Thankfully, I did what I wanted. This stencil is a heavy weight and was super easy to use. The trick is to use a very light hand with the paint. I also chose to use a forgiving paint color. I love how my fireplace turned out. It far exceeded my expectations.
