The stock seat post that came with my bike was too short for me (I'm 6'3"). So riding felt slightly awkward due to my legs not extending as much as they should when pedaling. Two choices at that point. Buy another bike larger than 26"....(expensive)....or replace the seat post ($10.00).Obviously, I went with the $10 route. It's VERY long...and will accommodate any height you want! It works PERFECTLY for my needs!!! Makes riding MUCH more comfortable. Also, it's not chrome (which I'm happy about!) Another user mentioned that it was a textured "silver" finish versus shiny chrome. My bike has several parts finished in that same silver, so I was HOPING that it wasn't chrome. I even debated going with the black version just in case this one wasn't what I wanted.I was pleasantly surprised to find out that yes...it's that textured silver finish (exactly what I wanted!) It looks so much better than the short chrome seat post it replaced!!!! And it fit perfectly (make sure you measure the diameter of your existing seat post and you'll be fine!)Ride safe...(and in style!) : )

Fit perfectly and the fact that post is marked with increments it is easy to adjust to different heights without having to guess where you had it before.

I needed a longer seat post for a smaller bike and this fit the bill, until...This is the silver version and while it does have texture, it's not the grippy type. That is, the surface feels pretty slick. So, even when clamped firmly, the post will twist under your seat and no amount of tightening will help.My recommendation would be to find how far you'll insert this into your seat tube, mark that area, then really rough up the area below that mark, And I mean make it rough. Maybe, just maybe then it won't twist when clamped in place.That said, this is a super-lightweight post, is quite well made, and includes graduated markings for insertion. (giggity)

Replaced my standard bike seat post with this one because the other was too short. This one is fantastic, and I've found my perfect height with some wiggle room to either shorten or lengthen it still.It holds with the quick-clamp extremely well, whereas the last one seemed to slip every couple of rides.The white level notches are very helpful in trying out and determining heights.Highly recommend.
