Do you have to paint the white hobs rings yourself? As it says black hob with room for up to 4 rings in the description

No it’s all painted on . It’s a fab product very well made and easy to put together. I’m a grandmother in my 60s and I built this for the grandchildren and we bought one for their house too they loved it so much

Is this product difficult to assemble?

I would say no providing that you have an electric screwdriver and drill bit (2mm). You do need to drill a number of pilot holes, but not for everything. I took my time and completed it from start to finish in about 3.5 hours - I was watching a movie at the same time though. Don't try with a manual screwdriver or you'll end up with blisters!
