SV-8006 Sous Vide Precision Cooker (Stainless Steel)

shipping took a bit of time - so have yourself a cup of tea . I use this to heat water for making coffee - this pot is just over 40 oz. heats great , pours a fine stream of water , easy to direct . all stainless steal , nice shine . the handle had a few rough spots but I took a finger nail file and a few quick swipes and there gone - handle now smooth . I cleaned it FIRST : washed out with dish soap , then heated water / soap up and cleaned again , then make sure to clean inside water spout , remember working with metal and the welding - there is buffing compounds plus the polish - so slide - pull something through the water spout [ I put it through from outside toward inside then attached and pulled back through from inside to out ] - I used a fishing line with a very small very fine piece of cloth [ or what ever works ] - that spout is REAL small at the pour end . there was some stuff on the cloth - but it all cleaned up find - and now I have a great , very useful ' tea' pot for fine - controlled pour .I like this pot , would buy it again - it is solid , no leaks - and SHINY ! - heats up fast - no whistle , a vent on top of cap is just a slit [ not big enough for thermometer] for steam , this pot is solid stainless steal - not real thin - but not thick- nor does it have a thick base - don't forget it is ON when you are heating water . it heats fast so watch it . IT DOES WHAT IT IS TO DO and DOES IT WELL .

A bit of a reality check here to all the 5 star reviews. #1 this kettle does NOT have a pour over spout. The kettle description is false advertising. Take a look at pictures of true pour over kettles and you'll know what I am talking about. In other words, when you pour the water over the coffee, you have to be super careful at the corner closest to you. Also, the water stream is wider. #2 If you take the lid off while the kettle is boiling and try to put it back on it won't fit anymore. Bad design. #3 It's actually kind of ugly in person. #4 The handle is very very hot when the kettle is hot. I'm returning this item.

Was not expecting it to be this small!! I have to say I was very disappointed by its size.. That being said- it is a beautiful teapot! Works as expected. Wish they made it in a larger size!!

I love this kettle. I love that it doesn't whistle. You can clearly see when it is boiling, but don't have to listen to the horrible screeching, if you can't get to the stove immediately. It is so nice to pour. We use it for pour over coffee and it is amazing. The handle doesnt get hot, as long as you keep it to the side of the burner. We've had the lot for over a year and haven't had any unusual discoloration or chipping. I have heard that if you rub bar soap on the bottom, it protects the stainless steal from the flame of a gas burner, but we didn't try that. Still looks good. The size of this pot is clearly marked, so I can't take away stars for this, but I wish it was twice as big. I cannot find a cute gooseneck kettle that is the size of a normal kettle. Still I love this kettle. It is very cute and functional!

this pot is not only beautiful but boils water very quickly. I'm sold on the stainless! coffee makers have too many plastic parts...not good.

We just received this and think we got a dud. The handle is all scratched and the coating is chipping off it :( there is also some rough spots inside the kettle. Hoping the seller will help.

this surpassed my expectations for it's price point by a goodly measure. it is much nicer looking (to me) than the Hario, pours beautifully enough that it's become my orchid watering can as well :)

It's a beautiful tea pot, heats up water quickly, handle always stays cool, holds a nice shine on the outside, looks great sitting on my stove top.
