Brill
I'm a size 5 so I originally ordered the small which is supposed to fit sizes 3-5. While the small did fit I personally found it too tight and decided to return for the medium size which says it fits 6-8. I found these more comfortable and more spacious. They kept my feet dry whilst in Cumbria in October and can't wait to wear them again. Also kept me warm.

however they are amazingly comfortable, and do exactly what they say
I was expecting a much thicker sock, for the description, however they are amazingly comfortable, and do exactly what they say, they are waterproof, they are cushioned, they are windproof, and most importantly to me they are toasty warm. They will fit into your normal foot ware as long as your shoes/boots are not too tight initially.

Right size, right product
I have used Sealskinz previously but not the extreme winter socks. Cycling in freezing temperatures was a challenge and i struggled to find a sock that would keep my toes warm and comfortable. I have not been disappointed with my purchase and I am glad that I selected the longer sock. They provide great warmth and are breathable. I don't appear to suffer from sweating mentioned elsewhere. In a nutshell these socks have, for now, solved a problem for me and make cycling below 2C more bearable. Once you follow the washing instructions they will last for a while. I have already purchased another pair now that I know they do the job.

Much improved over older versions
These socks are much better than the old versions, that were hard to get on and off over the heel, and gradually fell apart as the waterproof membrane worked loose. So far these have proved to be warm and waterproof, and easy to put on and take off. I use them with sandals for walking and cycling in the winter and they are working well. Waterproof socks used to feel as if they had a plastic bag sewn between the layers, and tended to come apart at the top where the layers all came together, but this new version / design works really well. Only downside is that the Labrador likes them as well, and now chooses them over all others to run up the garden with!

Perfect for warm and dry feet
I wear these whenever I am outdoors in the winter seeing to my animals. I have to wear wellies as the fields can be quite muddy so would be lost without these socks to keep my feet nice and warm. The last pairs I had lasted over three years. Got these in the Amazon sale for more or less half price compared to what I paid last time. I am a size 5 so bought the 3 to 5 size - don't worry that they look absolutely tiny when you get them as they stretch fine. Highly recommended.

Keeps feet dry in seriously wet weather... brilliant.
Used these at the weekend on a cycle ride that lasted several hours and was very cold and wet. The socks worked like a charm. I did what others suggested and wore a thin pair of socks underneath. After a number of hours of riding on heavily water-logged country lanes (including partial submersion up to my ankles at one point when I wasn't paying attention), I got home and whilst both pairs of trousers I had on and my shoes were completely soaked through, the socks under the Sealskinz socks were completely dry. Brilliant product.

How good are these socks.
I always suffer painfully cold feet on events in Winter and have yet to find socks that go someway to keeping my feet warm. I bought the SEALSKINZ Waterproof Extreme Cold Weather Mid length Sock to see if they would help. The best I can say is that they went someway to keeping my feet warm on the Marmot Dark Mountains overnight mountain marathon last January. Having said that, falling into a bog up to my waist near the beginning of the event did not help but my feet did not get any worse. Next was a night orienteering event in the Lake District where my feet did feel the cold after some marsh and bog crossings but taking my sock off they were dry. So they are the best I have in foot insulation and dryness but I am still looking or better.

They fall apart
These are very good up to a point. They are reliably waterproof. They're quite warm too and give useful padding to protect your feet inside work boots. BUT they are badly made and the stitching unravels at the top so the component layers come apart. They're still waterproof but a bit of a mess. This has happened to 2 pairs I've bought.
