Philippine Brand Naturally Delicious Dried Mangoes Tree Ripened 30 Ounces - Pack of 8

My mom is Filipino and I was lucky to grow up eating this amazing brand of dried mangos. Unfortunately, most supermarkets don't carry it so I've tried many other disappointing and overpriced brands of dried mangos. Most unsweetened types are super dry and tough and the sweetened ones sickeningly sweet. Philippine brand mangos are the best by far. They are fresh, soft, sweet and tangy. They do have some added sugar, but trust me, they are nothing like most. If you haven't tried these you must! I buy in bulk because they are so addictive.

I absolutely love these mangos. I discovered them at Costco where they were less expensive but not consistently stocked. Looked here and was hesitant to order food online but since it ships straight from Philippine company I took a chance. They are the same fantastic tasting mangos as Costco had. One big caveat though, the few bags I have opened had a center area inside where the mangos get a little too packed and become wet. This does affect the taste and texture for about 1/4 of the bag. The first time I was taken back because the flavor of the wet ones is no goody for me...bummer. I ended up taking the wet ones out of the bag and letting them air dry for a few days and wallah they look and taste like the rest of the bag........wonderful....addicting.......satisfying and now I can consume the whole bag as well.

A bit pricey, but worth it if you really like mangoes. I have been eating these for quite some time, then got the idea I would try another brand of mangoes. That was a mistake. The other brand tasted terrible, was a pale yellow color, and had a really weird texture more like hard gummy candy. These mangoes actually have a mango taste, have the right texture, and the right color. The only downside is occasionally I have gotten a package that has some fruit that are still moist. I prefer them totally dry (which they usually are). Overall, I'm just going to pay the extra money for these instead of settling for the cheaper and lower quality alternatives.

These are an awesome treat, I mean, almost stunningly good. Literally every person I've introduced them to loves them! I see people here are wondering about where to get them in stores - I used to get them at Costco before Amazon started carrying them.I will say, however, that the quality of the mango varies: Sometimes you get a bag filled with what look to be pretty fresh mango slices - bright yellow, soft, juicy (my mouth just started watering!). However, sometimes the mango slices are darker, more dry, and not as tasty. I don't know if this has something to do with when the mangos are harvested (seasonal?), or the age of the bags (when I've remembered to check, the bags were within their 'sell by' date). I wish I'd only get the bright, succulent mangos but that's a chance we take when we order on-line - in the store we could examine the contents through the window on the bag. Oh well, even the darker drier ones are still pretty good.

I wish I knew what was so amazing about these mangoes. They have a completely different and better flavor and texture than any other brand of dried mangoes I have ever had. These are vibrant and tangy, but also nicely sweet. And they have a chewy, smooth texture unlike the grainy/crystallized feel of other brands. I love these so much and was very sad when Sam’s Club switched to another brand.

I love these mangoes. Everyone loves these mangoes who's tried them! This is the best buy for the money and the quality is always fresh. If you like mangoes and wanted to try them dried I suggest buying them. Now that I'm writing this review (I ordered these for a friend this go around) I'm contemplating ordering some again for myself. They're SOOO GOOD! I'd give 10 stars if I could!

Originally received these in November as a gift from our missionary friends in the Philippines. Hubby loved them and he's usually more about the gluten-free cookies and salty snacks than dried fruit. I thought they were a bit sweet at first with the added sugar but I must admit I am often the one to get them out for a snack in the evening. They are a bit pricey for a snack but very good taste and texture. And we are frugal in most areas to be able to splurge in others. I think we've gone through 5 more bags since the first one. If you like mangoes, you'll want to try these.

LOVE this. addicted to it! the tastiest, most delicious and best-textured dried mango I've ever found. it does contain a bit of added sugar, but I suspect that helps preserve the product better. it's never leathery or flavorless, like dried mango can often be. and it's nowhere near as sugary as the neon orange stuff I've gotten at the grocery store before. fabulous product. can be rehydrated and used in baking like fresh mango. probably tastier than the fresh mangoes at your market (unless you live in India, Thailand or the Philippines).
