What can I say, I saw the video, watched the capabilities of this chop saw and had to have it for my workshop. It slices through mild steel like butter, with a cold cut, so super sharp blade. It should be noted that you should consider buying the additional blades for cutting stainless steel and aluminium, and they can be pricy, but they are already on my wish list. The saw is quite loud, easy to set up for angle cuts, I have not used it lots yet, as I am just setting up my benches. It feels extremely well built, and for the price I feel it is well worth it. I have the Evalution timber chop saw and stand, and have used that kit a lot, so it’s big steel brother now sits by its side. I will add to this review when I have used the saw for a few months. But right now, delivery, quality, performance etc. is a recommend to buy.

Ok first up, this is a powerful machine and very capable of doing the jobs you want to get done. It cut very fast, clean, square and no real sparks. I love the weight of this machine, heavy and the metal holder has a good heavy feel to it. It also come with a snap on V jaw for holding pipe firmly. This is a good idea. However, mine is not welded on square. That said, it will be easy to fix. As it is powerful and does not have a soft start, you may find it will set off you trip and you will need to increase your MCB up to 20amps. Not a hard job and worth it for this saw. Would I recommend this machine??? 100%. This is a great machine, much much better than my old Sealey abrasive wheel type. If you are sitting on the fence, get off it and buy this tool, you will love it.

Straight out of the box I tested for square in both planes and it was spot on. I did some light cuts to break the blade in and all went well. I’ve used it over the past few weeks to make probably a few hundred cuts and the blade still looks new. I’ve been cutting 45x45x6 angle 50x50x6 t-section and 80x80x6 angle as well as loads of flat bar. Every cut has come off straight and true, even over large cuts. Just make sure you break the blade in as the first few cuts may wonder and cause premature wearing if you don’t (look up on YouTube how to do it) Genuinely one of the best bits of equipment I’ve bought for the workshop to date!

Absolutely fantastic saw. It cuts 10x60 bright mild steel flats like butter! Leaving very respectable finish. Built in clamp is really nice and sturdy, it all feels very robust. Motor is extremely powerful, blade big and heavy, so you do need appropriate brakers, probably C type for inductive loads. My workshop has B16 and it was tripping every time I was starting it. I built soft starter for it and problem is gone, but just keep in mind that out of the box it will trip any insufficient brakers. These aren't faults, just normal things to be expected of powerful motor starting with load. Once running, power consumption is under 5A. Overall extremely happy with it!

I have only used this a few times over a couple of weekends so it's not a long-term test by any means. So far I have found the cuts on mild steel - bar, flat and angle up to 70 mm x 4mm - to be fast, smooth and accurate (though a laser guide would be very handy) and it's generally easy to use even on long stock if the end is well supported. 90 and 45 degree angles were accurate. Changing the position of the clamping vice was a bit of a fiddle but it worked well. My only niggle is that the swarf collector only collects about 50% of the chips - the rest goes everywhere, so I rigged up a moveable screen that contained the rest onto the bench. In all, I'm very pleased with this purchase and wish I had bought one years ago - it world have saved me hours of cutting with an angle grinder!

I loved everything about this saw although I still haven’t started cutting angles or mild steel as of yet.It looks beautiful and sturdy and the clamping system is quick simple and to die for “genius” .Only issue is price but I’m hoping over time this quality product will justify the price with more pros than cons

I’m building a steel frame from 50x50x3mm box section mild steel which will be bolted using 40x40x5mm angle iron. I have made 30 angle piece cuts and about 20 cuts of the box section. Early days but there is little sign of the blade becoming dull and is cutting well without much in the way of resistance or sparks. I have used Evolution metal blades before on a mitre saw and though it did the job this blade is in another league. Nice solid bit of kit.

Really good piece of kit and great value for money. Much better than abrasive cut off saws.

While the chop saw is as advertised or better quality wise and functions. the actual service from amazon was very poor. I order the product for Australia. Good shipped from the UK. Item took almost three months to be delivered. When it arrived its fitted with a European plug so not usable as it arrived. Had to engage an electrician to change out the plug on the power cord to suit our location

Ich habe die Säge aus dem englischen Raum bestellt weil sie dort wesentlich billiger ist als hier. Der Versand war unproblematisch und schnell. Hier angekommen, wurde direkt der Umbau auf Schukostecker und ein Sanftanlauf mit eingebaut. So hat man die Säge geerdet und die Säge läuft über den Sanftanlauf langsam an und schmeißt garantiert keine Sicherung raus durch die hohe Aufnahme beim Anlaufen. Die benötigten Teile lagen bei 25€. Also selbst mit Umbau noch viel günstiger als hier. Die Säge läuft einwandfrei. Sehr stabile Ausführung. Die Schnitte gehen sehr schnell und sind sehr Präzise. Die Garantie ist natürlich mit dem Umbau erloschen. Da ich Metallbaumeister bin habe ich schon an einigen Sägen gesägt. Für mich eine absolute Kaufempfehlung. Auf dem Video werden 40x8 Flacheisen S235 gesägt. Wie man sieht schneide ich drei Flacheisen auf einmal

Ich bin selbst Techniker und muss sagen, dass diese Maschine wirklich gut durchdacht und funktional ist.

Also gleich vorneweg: Einfach nur Stecker tauschen ist in meinen Augen ziemlich gefährlich! Der "englische" Stecker hat eine Sicherung eingebaut, wenn ihr diesen abgesicherten Stecker gegen einen normalen Schukostecker tauscht und nur Phase und Nulleiter anschließt, das Kabel ist ja nur zweiadrig, verliert ihr euren Schutz gegen Erdschluss. Das heist euer RCD (FI) zuhause löst nicht aus wenn das Gehäuse mal unter Spannung stände... Irgendwann fliegt vielleicht mal der Sicherungsautomat aber dann kanns zu spät sein. Liebe Leute, die Säge besteht aus Metall, zumindest ein nicht unwesentlicher Teil, die Maschine OHNE Erdung (Schutzleiter) zu betreiben kann böse Folgen haben und tödlich enden. Ich habe deswegen Stecker UND Kabel getauscht, da ich einen Schutzleiter somit Erdung an der Säge haben will! Ich habe mir ein 10m Verlängerungskabel für Draußen besorgt und dazu einen Schukostecker zusätzlich. Von diesem Kabel (3x1,5 Ölflex) von der Steckerseite 3m abgeschnitten und an die Säge montiert. Den Schutzleiter hab ich am Gussgehäuse so befestigt das er auch Kontakt mit diesem hat und somit dieses geerdet. Da ich das Griffstück eh komplett offen hatte hab ich gleich noch nen "Softstarter" mitmontiert. Kostet um die 15 Euro und wird einfach nach dem Schalter und vor dem Motor dazwischengeklemmt. Jetzt läuft die Säge langsam an und könnte auch an ner Kabeltrommel benutzt werden ohne das die Sicherung fliegt beim Starten. An die übriggebliebenen 7m Kabel von der Verlängerung hab ich den zugekauften Schukostecker angebracht und hab jetzt ein 7m Verlängerungskabel für die Säge wenn ich sie mal draußen benutze... Zur Säge selber: Für den Preis unschlagbar... Sie ist sehr laut, ohne Gehörschutz nicht zu empfehlen... Funkenflug ist auch da aber im Gegensatz zu Trennscheiben maginal. Sägt schneller als erwartet, geht durch 50x50x4mm wie Butter. Schnitte sind winklig und gerade. Alles in allem eine Topsäge in dem Preissegment.
