Smoked Paprika Powder La Chinata 350g tin Sweet

I’ve been using La Chinata smoked paprika for a while now, and it never disappoints. The flavour is rich, smoky and slightly sweet – perfect for adding depth to soups, stews, roast veg or chicken. It really lifts the taste of almost anything you cook. The colour is beautiful and vibrant, and the tin is big enough to last ages but still easy to store. It stays fresh too, which is a bonus. I’ve tried a few other brands over the years, but I always come back to this one – it just has that authentic Spanish flavour. Highly recommend if you love cooking and want to give your dishes a real boost!

Just like living back in Spain. Lovely flavour to this sweet smoked paprika, I would definitely buy again.

Although I use paprika for many things, I bought this paprika specifically to make more authentic Romansco sauce. Ideally, Romanesco calls for dried Ñora peppers, which are soaked before use, but whole dried Ñora peppers are expensive here in the UK. Then I discovered that this La Chinata sweet smoked paprika is made from the same peppers, the Bola/ Ñora. So I ordered this and tested it out with some Romanesco. I soaked the paprika in filtered water to rehydrate it before adding to the nuts, roasted tomatoes, a single roasted red pepper for texture, garlic, dry bread, olive oil and sherry vinegar. Oh my goodness! It is absolutely delicious, and a marked improvement on using ordinary peppers. This will become a staple in my kitchen! There's plenty of paprika in this 350g tin, and it does a great job at a reasonable price. Recommended!!

I use paprika a lot and can only find the 75g tins in the shops, so this larger tin is perfect. Tastes the same as any smoked paprika and is much better value for money.
