1/4 Inch Brass Round Rod, Favordrory 4PCS Brass Round Rods Lathe Bar Stock, 1/4 Inch in Diameter 14 Inches in Length

These rods are what I use to pin knife scales onto the knives I make. I like the look of 1/4" brass, and it is easier to work with than stainless steel, although stainless steel looks great as well.

I got these to weld up a door hinge so I could drill it out for oversized bushings. It worked as planned.

I have been using fire pit poker stick for my Lodge Sportsman's iron grill, but my poker is rather long. It would be nice to have a pair of hibashi fire chopsticks used in Japanese tea ceremony, but those pairs are rare to find in US, and they are fairly expensive. I was seaching reasonable alternative and found this soid brass rod. 1/4 diameter provides firm grip, and 14" length is perfect so that your hand won't get burned while dealing with hot charcoals.

I liked it because it was a brass rod 3/8" in diameter by 14" long. I'm not a metallurgist so I know nothing about the quality of the brass.I wanted to make a rod to possibly use for tapping a squib bullet out of a gun barrel. I cut the rod to length, reduced the diameter so part of the rod would easily fit down he gun barrel, and glued a handle on the part of the rod that remained 3/8" in diameter. I haven't used it yet because I have not experienced a squib.
