Ayurvastram Pure Cotton, Hand Embroidered Shirt Tunic Top Kurti Blouse

Purchased Size: 6/35". Since they go by chest measurements, I'll mention that I'm a small 34B, typically purchase XS or S women's tops at most major chain mall stores, and this shirt fit as expected/desired, slightly loose with some room in case the top shrunk when washed.Length: On 5'3" - mid upper thigh/covers backside nicely/to fingertip length. Reasonably modest with leggings or as a swim coverup IMO.I've washed on cold & dried in a dryer three times and didn't notice major shrinking, though I did purchase it slightly larger than I could have. Does wrinkle (expected for the material though).Color: Blue. It's a bit lighter/brighter in person than the darkish blue shown in the photo, but very pretty.Used for: beach coverup. I burn easily but 90% of the cute "swim coverups" that AREN'T $90 don't work for me because they are sheer, short, have no sleeves, are low cut tops, or made of synthetic materials that aren't breathable on hot, humid days.Maybe I'm picky, but what I needed was something that had long sleeves, not too low cut, covers shoulders and chest well, light weight, breathable material; covers top of thighs that tend to get sunburned; not too expensive because my tastes change and I'd rather have a couple on hand; and because I'm slightly vain - cute/has some nice details :)This checked all those boxes and worked perfectly on a week-long beach trip. While it's NOT intended/sold as beach coverup, it covered well enough that I could wear it (with sunblock underneath) and not get burned, felt cool and breathable due to the lightweight cotton, and was very comfortable and cute.It DOES become somewhat sheer when wet, but not an issue for my purposes over a swimsuit anyway. Dries fairly quickly.Absorbed some salt water that left salt marks when dried - but washed up perfectly.I will likely purchase a second to have for a future trip, but may get one size larger for easier on/off over a swimsuit.And will probably wear it with leggings in the fall and winter as it's really comfortable and soft.

This is a great tunic length to wear with leggings. However after I bought it, I was concerned it would be cultural appropriation if I wore it. So I had to return it. It was a pretty tunic and only slightly transparent. I also thought it was too expensive.

Perfect to add a casual, yet well-made piece to your wardrobe. The fabric is very light weight, fine cotton that is soft and drapes well. The design is very well done, and suits my full figure. The sleeves are a little short,however I am wearing them rolled up so it is not important. Neckline is very good, not too low. Be sure to measure before ordering; I chose to go up in size to make sure it fit loosely. I'm very pleased! Have only worn once, and have not washed yet so do not know how much it will shrink. Will update here if any issues.

This top seems well made and is attractive but it goes all the way down to mid knee cap. I'm 5' 5.5" tall and 152 lbs. Size 18 was appropriate but this will look ridiculous with pants. I'll have to use it as a beach cover-up. I need to keep the sun off my arms anyway. I would have returned it but was away on vacation and missed the return window.

Really nice summer Kurti, but heads up it's very see through, I plan to wear it with a tank top under neath. I'm 5'1" 135lbs and 36 chest purchased a size 10 and it fits perfectly (I read other reviews that it runs small) sleeves are also button up so you can unbutton if it's too tight and roll them up.

I bought the off-white one in large...it fits a tiny bit snug in the chest but it actually looks more fitting like that, meaning, it doesn't look boxy. The fabric is thin...its perfect for summer night but I'll need to wear a cami underneath. The off white one is see through but it's okay for hotter weather. The length covers the butt completely...I'm 5'8" and 180 lbs...I'll buy another color later. Thumbs up

I'm not happy with this item. I've bought many Indian blouses from this brand before, and they were very nice, so I thought this one would be too. The problems:1) After washing, it got extremely wrinkled. I don't like ironing. I figured it would get some wrinkles due to the fabric content, but it was worse than I imagined.2) The size: I ordered a size larger based on reviews, but it was still a bit snug and uncomfortable to get over my head.3) The color: I ordered grey, and it arrived in more of a dull, blah greyish brown color.4) The fit: It's okay, nothing great. Nice that it's long to cover rear. But it just doesn't do much to flatter the figure.Not worth my time to return. Based on the reviews I was expecting a much nicer shirt, but it was decent at best.3/22 update: will be dropping in the charity bin. A pain in the neck to get on and off, and just a drab shirt that wastes valuable closet space.

I have 3 other tunics from the same company and they fit wonderfully. I assumed this would be the same so I didn’t open the package 📦until 7/28 when I was ready to wear it. It is way too small, tight in the bust and sleeves etc. The 27th was the last day for returns so I’ve lost out and it will have to go to donation. I’m disappointed as it’s well made and a lovely color. I ordered a 28, I usually wear a 24 but a 4X in these because I like them roomy and they are all cotton. What I received was marked only with size 51……and as I look at the size chart that should fit loosely on me, but alas it does not.
