This is a cheap alternative to the original Samsung remote approximately 10% of the price.Things to know :- this remote is infra red and not blue tooth like the original- the infra red must be aimed at the TV, will not work from the other room- mouse option on the original Samsung is not present, but you can still navigate with the directional arrows- if you had the remote with the voice built into the remote and not the tv, you no longer have this option(did not bother me as i never used that feature)- voice button works to toggle 3D option which i never used-Plastic feels a little cheaper, but a stranger to the remote would probably not noitce a difference.Overall i am very satisfied for the sixteen dollar remoteIf i am going to spend over a $100 dollars on a remote i would rather look at putting the money into a new TVThank you!

Easy to use, works like a charm. My dog chewed up my remote, I ordered these and when they came in I popped in 2 double A batteries and hit the on button and that was it. No scanning or programming. You could not ask for a simpler remote.
