Fox Run Flour Sifter, Stainless Steel, 1-Cup, Metallic

Great general use sifter for home use.

We were using one of the crank types until I saw this as a recommendation on Amazon one day. I had totally forgotten they made these. My husband loves to make cakes from scratch and I love them, but my least favorite thing is sifting the powdered sugar while he mixes. With this he can mix while he adds the sugar himself. It works great and saves time. The only negative is it does get a bit tiresome after a few minutes, but it's still much better than the crank kind.

A little flimsy, but works just fine for my “not so often”use.

This sifter is OK if (like me) you don't need to do large quantities often. It is small and slow, the action of the little blades at the bottom is limited, so that not much moves through with each squeeze of the handle.It is faster to tap on the side as you work to increase the flow.On the plus side it is very neat, and doesn't dust the entire work surface with flour. And if you use it, as I do, to sift powdered sugar into recipes you have room to work close to the mixer and keep the flow going into the bowl and not outside of it.Overall, I think that I will have to get a larger one to do cakes and such where I need 3 cups sifted quickly.

Easy storage

The one cup sifter I had used for years finally broke two years ago. I was reluctant to purchase this one at first because of no recent good reviews. However I have now been using this sifter on at least a weekly basis (and more often during the holiday baking seasons) for 18 months and it is still good as new. As advertised it can easily be operated with one hand and it can conveniently be stored in my flour container between uses. Definitely a good value.

Didn't work right out of the box, BUT was able to fix and it's acceptable now.Pulling the trigger (bottom handle in picture) causes a little flower-wheel inside to rotate, and in theory slide some flour through the screen. My wheel wasn't flush to the screen, so it just made a cake of pressed flour between them. I pushed up on the spinny mechanism and pushed down on the "petals", and after that it works fine.Action isn't the easiest thing though (either before or after fixing). It's not awful, but don't get it for your grandma with arthritis.

This is a nice sifter cup, small, which is what I wanted and very sturdy. I purchase I different one first that I has to return it because it was thin metal and lost shape during shipped (it was mailed in a padded mailer, not a box) But this smaller one can't lose it shape as it is a thicker metal.

Cumple con su propósito aunque la calidad deja mucho que desear, aparenta que se descompondrá pronto. Su precio me parece un poco alto en comparación a su calidad, aunque por el momento cumple perfectamente con su objetivo.

Esta lo máximo lo ame

Muy mala calidad, muy caros para lo que es. La primera y única vez que se usó se desarmó por completo y no es fácil volver a colocar las piezas en su lugar. Sin dudas, lo devolveré
