50 Gal Sturdy Rain Barrel
I recently purchased the 50-Gallon ECO Rain Barrel, and it has been a fantastic addition to my garden. The 100% recycled plastic construction is sturdy, and I love that it’s an eco-friendly choice. The flat-back design allows it to sit flush against my house, saving space while still collecting a good amount of rainwater.Installation was straightforward—I connected it to my downspout with ease. The mesh screen on top does a great job of keeping out debris and mosquitoes. The spigot is well-placed for filling watering cans, and I was able to attach a hose without any leaks.

Does what it’s supposed to.
Overall I like this product. I bought it because I’m on a budget and it had a great price point. It is doing it job of collecting water. The plastic is very sturdy and think, so I imagine it will last a while.A couple of things worth mentioning, because I tend to over look design specifics. This is not a full barrel. The back is flat. I really wish the lid unscrewed so I could put a sump pump in it, or clean it. But it does not. The ‘grate’ at the top does its job of keeping debris out. But the holes are tiny and it is slow to drain into the barrel. The spicket is all plastic so I imagine that it will break at some point.Would I buy this again? Hmm, probably not. Like I said I was on a budget and this hit my price point. Is it worth the money? Absolutely! Did I read the specifics? No. Is it exactly what I wanted, No. is that my fault? Yes :)Good product tho!

Great barrels great price
My brother told me that barrels were are sale so I bought 3 more to add to the 3 that I already ownedMy first barrels that I bought I purchased in September 2021. The original 3 were missing a part on each of the them and RTS made it good, which I’m grateful. In 2022 we had below zero temps. I had forgotten to drain the barrels, the barrels didn’t break, thank goodness. So knowing that RTS makes a great products and they have great customer service I purchased 3 more from them. to add to my collection. I would recommend their barrels Right now they are less than what I paid in 2021. So if you need rain barrels now is the time to buy them before they go up in priceThe black barrels are the new barrels the tan are the 3 year old barrels

Thing leaks right out of the box
Well turns out rts can’t even make a barrel that doesn’t leak. The worst part is it leaks at the bottom of the barrel even below the spigot meaning it holds no water. I literally assembled it and filled it up with water to check the spigot for leaks and the spigot worked great, except there was a leak even below the spigot. I mean this thing is now a worthless piece of garbage…. So much for helping the planet! I want my money back!

Water conservation with gardening
I Love harvesting rain water off of my roof to help water my garden. I fill my many oyas with the rain water. In Texas it is so hot and dry in the summer, I will still have to water with my spray hose. My garden plants explode with rain water compared to city water. Keeping the soil moist near the roots helps keep my large tomatoes from splitting open.I started with 2 barrels last year got 2 more barrels this year and plan to get at least 2 more next year.
