Our Raw Black Maca powder is made from 100% Black Maca roots grown traditionally on a farming co-operative high in the Peruvian Andes. These roots, about the size of a radish, make up about 15% off the annual Maca harvest in Peru and are highly prized for their nutritional potency. Maca contains nearly all essential amino acids and free fatty acids, significant levels of vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, and C, minerals iron, magnesium, zinc and calcium, a high concentration of bio-available protein and nutrients unique to Maca called macaenes and macamides. Both medical studies and anecdotal evidence have shown Black Maca to be the most effective Maca color for muscle building, endurance, increased male performance and for mental focus. We recommend raw Black Maca for anyone who wants to increase athletic performance as well as boost energy and in particular for Men wanting to boost libido or testosterone.
