It is PVC and will glue to 1/2” PVC pipe.

Q: Can I use this on a hot water line?

Yes it can there is a temperature range of hot water it can take .it works with both hot and cold lines .

Q: Whats the backflow psi max?

You can expect the pressure rating to be the same as the pressure rating of the pvc pipe itself. However since it is a plastic devise I would not exceed about 1/2 that rating. Probable 100 psi max.. be careful with air, very dangerous if catastrophic failure occurs, fluid failure is not a big deal.

Q: What is the inside diameter (id) of the connections?

They are made to fit 1/2 inch pvc pipes so it might be another couple mm or so more to allow the fit.
