Crochet Iconic Women : Amigurumi Patterns for 15 Women Who Changed the WorldBy Carla MigrantI am a super beginner but I saw this on sale for just a few bucks today and had to have it! I want to learn and these are so cute! Great encouragement! There are a complete list of supplies needed and steps. In the back there are more tips too! Each step for each project has pictures. Some of the women are Ginsberg, Goodall, Marie Currie, Queen Elizabeth II, and so many more! Jane Goodall has a little chimp too! lots of little props that make the person stand out! So cute! Great gift ideas!

Amazing crochet book
This pattern book is amazing. I love that there is a paragraph for each iconic woman in the book telling why the author picked them. The patterns are well written and easy to follow but I did find a couple mistakes but if you are and experienced crochetter you won't have any issues. I bought this at the beginning of March and I only have one of the 15 left to make so they work up pretty quickly. I also love that you can use the patterns in the book to make others you personally believe to be iconic.

Ruth Bader Ginsberg
My daughter got me "More Iconic Women" and I loved it, wanted one of Ruth Bader Ginsberg. Took her to the Dr's office and a lady requested 2 of her for ChristmasAlso has Malala Yousefzai and Greta Thunberg + several others. These dolls are adorable and can easily be adapted for other people.

Charming little dolls, but . . .
. . be aware: CHIMPANZEES DO NOT HAVE TAILS!Other than this egregious error, these look like wonderful little projects, tho' I would probably not recommend them for those just beginning to crochet.I specifically got this to make a RBG mascot for a friend for whom she was a big hero. I also like that the author has a page at the end encouraging you to make your own hero (shero?) using the same basic doll and adding your own details. I have not yet started my project, but am looking forward to doing so once the holidays are past and I have more free time to spend on this.Oh, one other comment: on the Serena Williams doll, the headband should ride low on her forehead (it's actually a sweatband, not a headband) with the back up next to her ponytail, and she pulls one loop of the scrunchie she uses to make the ponytail down lower to help control her hair more, so run a couple of wraps of yarn down lower on her ponytail for the most authenticity -- it's kinda hard to explain, but check out a photo of Serena if you're not sure about this detail. One final thought. It probably would be a good idea to include a piece of narrow dowel that extends from the body into the head to help reinforce the neck and keep it from getting floppy over time. One star off for the mistaken details noted above.

Pleased with my order...
Seller delivered as promised and promptly shipped item. Just learning to crotchet so I havet made anything in this book. It looks like all the iconic woman are the same body just differently dressed in their own personal outfits. I like the book,it's very cute. It's amazing what anyone can do with yarn!
