Wasabi Power Battery (2-Pack) and Charger for Panasonic VW-VBG260

I purchased this package for a seven day cruise to Mexico. I wanted to make a documentary type movie so I didn't want to miss anything. I also purchased one additional battery to make sure I'd be able to shoot all day and still have time to charge them all up overnight. As it turned out, I never had to use more than two batteries in one day. The camera was on all day for 10 days (we spent three days in San Diego before boarding our ship to Mexico) and I shot a total of 10 hours of video. It was great to have batteries that lasted so long so I didn't have to turn the camera off between takes. With the camera in standby mode it takes less than one second to be ready to shoot. Things can really happen fast on one of these trips so it's best to always have the camera on so you don't miss anything. Also, when in doubt, keep shooting as you can always edit later. You cannot go back and get more video later though. Thus a dependable source of power is very important. These batteries worked fantastically. The charge lasted as long as advertised and they were fully compatible with the camera. All battery information was available onscreen at all times and was always accurate. They also charged up fast so even if all three would have needed charging, there would have been enough time to do so before shooting the next day. The size of the batteries was good too. The battery that comes with this camera doesn't even fill the battery cavity and looks kind of mismatched. These batteries do extend out farther than the cavity, but not far enough to be a problem. In fact, because they add a little weight, it actually makes the camera feel a little more substantial and steady. This package also comes with a charger that works great and tells you when the batteries are fully charged. The extra charger was handy when used in conjunction with the camcorder charger as it permits charging two batteries at once. The car charger that comes with this is a nice addition, too. You just never know when you're going to run out of power and need to recharge on the go. [...]

Wanted a secondary charger to take on trips and leave the original at home. This item worked as advertised to charge the battery of the camcorder. And the price was better too. Good product.

This battery is oem and it is almost twice the size of the standard battery and yet the juice is just 50% more. It should be least 150% more to last my 32GB SD card. It will record just 3 hours and then goes flat while the standard size is 1hr and 52 mins.

I bought these Wasabi Batteries for my Panasonic TM700 camcorder because I had in the past Purchased similar batteries which did not work and unfortunately could not be returned.So I was a bit concerned this might be a similar experience but I read the online reviews which were very positive and listed my camera specifically in the compatibility list. I received them in a timely manor. Shipping was way faster than I paid or posted in the tracking info. Just to put things into perspective. a single battery half the size that has a 1 and a half hour charge runs about 90.00 locally in any of the retail stores. The wasabi batteries charges to 3 hours and you get not just 1 but {2} batteries with the charger and the cigarette adapter in addition you get a plug adapter for traveling over seas. I'm assuming European. for around 40 bucks. that's very reasonable! The obvious question is, But how well do they work? I have to say they charge quickly hold a good charge and run to just about the 3 hours they hold and very reliably. I've used the Wasabi Power Batteries several times in many conditions and in every situation they've performed perfectly and reliably with no noticeable problems or inconsistencies. I'm VERY pleased with this product in every way and would highly recommend them in performance,quality and price .

THEY STARTED TO LOSE POWER WAY TOO EARLY

Got these delivered in reasonable time. The batteries and charger appear to be well made and include a well thought out package. The charger itself has an led that changes color when complete. It is about 1/2 the speed of the Panasonic charger but includes a car charger. The batteries work well and show the time remaining - about double the original battery. Both my batteries fit slightly loosely - they shake ever so slightly. This has not affected performance, it just feels bad. Overall,a good package for the SD600.

One of the better bargains on Amazon, if you own a Panasonic HD camcorder, then you owe it to yourself to check out this battery charger kit. For what you'd pay for one 'brand name' battery from Panasonic, you'll receive 2 batteries AND a portable plug-in charger AND an additional accessory that allows you to charge from your car battery using the cigarette lighter adapter. Most importantly, everything works perfectly with the Panasonic HD camcorder and at a fraction of the cost. As a video producer for over 25 years, I've bought a lot of camcorders and batteries to power them. This is probably the best deal I've ever gotten for a multiple battery and charger kit that works without a hitch as promised by Blue Nook. Kudos to them for offering a solid product at a winning price!

This charger does its job every time, and the batteries last a full 4-5 hours in my camcorder. The car charger works great, and the wall-charger is just the right size. Update: After only a few months, one of the batteries went dead. It does not charge, and the camera does not get enough power to turn on. It has barely been used, and has always been kept charged.
