Great chiller at a great price!
No, this isn't the best, most efficient, most incredible chiller on the market. But it does the job well, and it does it at pretty much the best price you can find. Even trying to build your own from scratch would cost you nearly this amount, and the quality probably wouldn't be as good. This chiller (depending on factors like tap water temperature, pressure, etc) will chill your wort down to room temperature in under 15 minutes. I recommend stirring your wort during chilling to maximize efficiency.I couldn't be happier with my purchace. Best bang for your buck!

Can cool 7 gallons in around 25 minutes (middle of summer ...
Works well and included every piece of hardware I needed to use it the next day. Can cool 7 gallons in around 25 minutes (middle of summer and our public water tends to sit on the warmer side), which happens to be a good time to add my hop stand for IPAs. So far have used it for five brews and have no complaints. It is very slinky like and can easily be raised an lowered to fit any size biol kettle. It fit my smaller 35 quart (tall and narrow) turkey fryer pot perfectly, and has no issues in my 50 quart kettle (much wider and a bit shorter).

Works great!
This immersion chiller works really well. It cools my wort in less than 15 minutes and sits well inside my 34 quart pot. The only thing you need to be aware of is to make sure you have one or two additional clamps for the hoses. The first time I used the chiller I thought I had the clamps that came with the chiller on tight, but I was wrong. A stream of water shot out and almost went into my cooling wort. Luckily I had my pot lid on as best it could go on, and the water sprayed the top of my lid and collected on the top. Just be sure you are watching the first time you use it. Other than that, I am very happy with my purchase.

... extremely well - I was surprised how quickly it sucked the heat out
Works extremely well - I was surprised how quickly it sucked the heat out, cooling my wort down to 68. MUCH easier and faster than trying to use ice, etc. Just regular cold tap water from a garden hose run in the kitchen window (you could also use an attachment to your kitchen faucet if you can rig that up) and in no time you're ready to go. Highly recommended - one of the big hassles of brew day is now a breeze.

Great!
This was cheaper (even with the shipping) - than my local brew store. It comes with the tubes you need (very long) - you'll have to cut the tube in half, and comes with 2 clips. This cools the wort down as fast as possible when the boiling process is done but before you transfer it into the primary fermenter. This is the #1 time when bacteria may be able to form. You need to cool it ASAP. Otherwise you're putting the stock pot into an ice bath, so you'll have to buy 3 bags of ice from the store.FYI - the instructions say that there may be some residual oil on the outside of the copper and that you may need to use to oil remover to get it off. I wouldn't even know where to buy that. I wiped the whole thing down, sanitized it over and over, and pour boiling water all over the thing. Used a paper towel to wipe the thing off to make sure it didn't look like there was oil on it.FYI - the instructions also say to put it into the boiling stock pot 10 min before the boil is over to make sure that any bacteria on the copper gets killed. If you have the plastic tubing connected and there is water in the copper, the water in the tubing ends up boiling and made the tube pop off twice (even with the clips screwed on) and boiling water squirts on the floor and maybe on you. I guess you could put the tubing on right before you need it, or just make sure you really sanitized the hell out of the copper and not risk it.

Works well, but you need to modify to prevent leaks
For the price this is a good product. My LHBS wanted to charge me $60 so I opted to save a few bucks and purchase it here.Pros:Easy to use.Takes wort temp from 200 to 70 in about 30 mins.Cons:Leaks. You'll need to add additional hardware to prevent leaking as the unit spews water out of the hoses into your wort. I added two additional metal bands from Lowes to the input and output and the first batch held up fine. But the second batch it started leaking again from the output and I had to add additional Bands. The leakage ended up diluting my second batch to the point it is almost undrinkable, it's too watered down. I should have kept a close eye on it, but I didn't and didn't notice the leak until about 20 minutes after I started chilling. Also the output hose is too short. It should be as long as the input hose, but it is much shorter.Overall: worth the purchase but make sure you make your modifications before you use the product or it will dilute your batch.Note to seller.... Fix these issues because almost every reviewer has experienced the same thing. Why not make a simple and cheap fix to prevent the issues we are all experiencin?.
