I got this for my son's room as he likes to just leave his hats and clothes everywhere...mainly the floor. To give me some peace of mind and still allow for some slob like behavior--we compromised and now he uses this. I get to keep my sanity as the floor is clear or obstacles and he gets to continue just tossing stuff on the rack. It holds a fair amount of clothes and all his hats so I'm very satisfied. It is on carpet and we haven't had an issue with stability and assembly was very east.

I like this coat tree. It's sturdy, lots of hooks for bags and coats. It's not as pretty as the wooden tree I had to replace, but it's fine. I was surprised at how many screws it took to assemble this item. It wasn't hard, just time consuming. I recommend.

EXACTLY what i wanted! i returned a PREVIOUS wooden rack - the screws stripped and the base was too small to support it when loaded. This is perfect. It takes about 20' to put together, but the metal to metal connections means it won't fail and it more than strong enough for LOTS of heavy clothing and coats. One of the balls on the end of the arms was off when it arrived, but i easily glued it on.If i ever need another coatrack, i'd buy this again. Excellent product!

Seems very sturdy. Had a lot of parts but was easy to assemble. I really like this. Time will tell if it holds up but I think it will. For the $21 I paid for it, you really can't go wrong. One of the holes wasn't punched all the way thru but it was nothing to take a screw driver and finish the punch out.

Ordered the 12 hook and 4 leg freestanding coat rack to replace the wooden one that eventually broke under the weight of all the items I placed on it.I found it pretty easy to put together, especially if you are used to assembling things (like from IKEA). It comes with its own hex key, but I used a similar sized hex bit in a screwdriver instead (which made it easier and faster for me to tighten the included hex screws since there are a lot of them with this item!).Overall, I like the look and functionality of this coat rack. I love that it has 12 hooks, both high and low ones, as it holds a bunch of both light and heavy jackets plus scarves. Being metal and four-legged, it seems pretty sturdy, but time will tell how well it holds up. So far, I'm pleased with this purchase!

Metal, coffee finish, wood tipped. Price was great. I did not want anything too big but wanted sturdy and the ability to level all legs makes it that. It has been overloaded on one side and did not move.

I paid $34.99 for this coat rack and it is totally worth it for that price. The best part is that it has hooks at three different levels, so even our kindergartener can reach their stuff without having to pull down the whole rack (that's what did in our old coat rack.) It is strong and can hold an adult winter coat and snow pants on each arm without bending. The legs are sturdy and we placed the whole rack over a heating vent to dry our stuff. The disk-base style hall trees would have covered the vent, so that's why we chose this legged style. This was easy to assemble and the quality was as expected. The balls on the ends are real wood and not plastic. Recommended!
