GRIVORY AT ITS BEST
Another Cold Steel uniquely designed and incredible item. The use of Cold Steel ‘grivory’ is always super cool in the power and polymer strength in the capability for weapons. Mostly for training or basic defense; but not just rubber toys. In fact this serrated dagger replica styled grivory knife is capable of pretty hard use within the world of non alloy blades. Mainly the use for camping and collecting stand out for me. The ability to not be detected by metal detectors is usually a bad way to define these brilliant items. Because the truth is that they are not real serious weapons that will be worth the potential problems faced by trying to intentionally get this past a device meant for keeping certain places free from knives and other weapons. Where the power of this grivory knife shines is for a real visual defense item that can also make a powerful impact upon a crazy animal or a creep who needs help realizing that you are ready to repel. I collect them and have an area where I display the different styles that I have been adding for years. So in summary; this is the best grivory knife yet; and it’s very intimidating in appearance with potential for minimal defense. But don’t think that this won’t cut your finger or hand when handling. Don’t let the covert thoughts of being invisible enter into the great options for this super cool item.

Absolutely not a toy!
This is not a trainer, nor a toy, this is actually meant to inflict damage, it's robust enough to actually appear to be effective, even the serrations are reasonably sharp and the reinforced tip is sure to pierce, it's a great shower knife, or a knife to hide around your home or anywhere for it will not corrode with the elements, inexpensive and seems to be well made.

A Sleek and Sturdy Addition, Though Not Without Flaws
The Wasp model, stands out in the realm of polymer blades. Its Griv-Ex fiberglass-reinforced polymer construction gives it a remarkably cool and sturdy feel for a non-metal item, which is a pleasant surprise. This makes it a fantastic choice for those seeking a lightweight yet robust alternative to traditional knives. However, while the knife scores high on aesthetics and initial performance, it does have some durability issues concerning the blade's edge and tip. The edge, although sharp and effective initially, does not hold up indefinitely. It tends to wear down over time, which might be a setback if you're looking for a permanent sharp edge. Similarly, the tip, while acutely sharp, also shows quick wear, diminishing its effectiveness in more rigorous tasks. This knife would be an excellent choice for casual use or as a part of a collection. It’s definitely a conversation piece and a unique addition due to its non-metal composition. However, this might not be the first recommendation for those needing a dependable blade for frequent, heavy-duty use.In conclusion, the FGX Nightshade Wasp is a commendable product for specific uses, mainly where a light and non-threatening blade is necessary. Just keep in mind the limitations in its sharpness and longevity.

Great for black ops.
If you are looking to enter places with detectors you can get right in with this.. just remove the wire ring on the handle first. It's also quite durable for being made of plastic.

A wicked weapon for one-time use
Do NOT buy any knife with a nonmetallic blade for anything except one-time use in an emergency. This knife will both stab and cut quite effectively if it is fresh and hasn't been dulled by trying to cut or pierce things beforehand. The point and edge would both deteriorate rapidly with use, meaning hopefully your fight against an assailant will be over with in just a couple of minutes because beyond that you're going to be jabbing at them with a blunt piece of plastic. It should be more than enough for a single violent encounter if you reserve it only for that purpose. If you want to test it by cutting and jabbing various things, I'd buy two. Test with one and discard it once it is dulled. Keep the other pristine in case you need it.

Exceptional tools for various purposes.
One of the purposes, for me, is to have a weapon in with me, while I shower. Now worry about rust or else. I would suggest having it where it won't be a problem if you slip or such. But, I love having something when I am otherwise vulnerable. I don't think it would be a twice, or more, use weapon. I don't need it to be. Though, perhaps, to some degree, if there was more than one in an encounter, it could be used for a second hand to hand engagement, if it would be diminished. Better than nothing, but not as good as fresh.I am satisfied that, within it's capacity, it would allow me to deal with a single opponent. Or keep such at bay, until I could get to a sidearm. Very good. And, there are other uses, should you have other problems. This is what I use it for, and near my bed. Waking up, I am always a bit weak. I could still use this. Plus, they aren't flashy, might well not be seen by an attacker (unless you made it known, your call). If I had a wife, or children, these would be functional for them. Light enough, easy enough to use, if nothing else was available. Compared to my full combat knife, which is unapproachable by past gal pals. Some of it psychological, I think, some of it the weight and handling properties. Anyway, there you go. Good luck, but don't treat these as toys. Good luck.

Great tool
I have quite a few of the Cold Steel fxg Nightshade knives and this is my favorite. I also like the push dagger and the shin dhu or whatever that little short dagger is. The teeth really work on this, and it's a very stabby pointy, definitely a good grip. These things will work good in the shower, underneath the car seat, in a tackle box, or in between the front seats of your car. Good for well you know... I'm afraid if I say it, they won't post my review... but I highly recommend this one!

Plastic knife
Tip snapped first use. Not the whole thing just the tip. Still stabby but not like real steal. Cutting edge is well...as good as a plastic knife is getting. But u need a light weight rust proof knife that u can get a few use and toss this is it.
