I had taken a chance on this being no commenter mentioned my exact model, but it worked perfectly. I couldn't even find instructional videos on it, but fortunately one of the commenters took a picture of the inside and it was close to identical to my R9. As other commenters have mentioned, it is in fact a lot more quiet than the original speaker. But that's not a dealbreaker, especially at this price. Couldn't be happier.

Installed in my uniden R3 because of bad speaker. Uniden wanted 100 to repair.I was able to repair for under 10$ with this speaker! Works great. Not as loud but it’s good enough. And won’t Pierce your ear drums.I got 2 just in case! Now my radar detector is not useless lol.

The speakers aren't very loud but did the job. One of them came popped open in the package with one of the wires off. I think it was just shipping but still disappointing. Would recommend otherwise.

Perfect replacement Uniden R1 extreme long range. Plug and play I just put tape to hold it in place.Works perfect. I don't notice a difference in the sound quality. Infact the oem has a baffle or felt protector over it.This doesn't and sounds just as good. Plus I have an extra incase this breaks.

Fixed my Uniden radar detector. This is a less expensive option and the fix is easy. This isn't as load as the original but it is load enough.

This item was to small for my project
