Garden Hose, Water Hose, Flexible Pocket Expandable Garden Hose with 3/4" Fittings, Triple-layer Core, Flexi Expanding Hose for Outdoor Lawn Car Watering Plants (Red, 23FT)

Bought this for my boat for quick washdown while at the marina. Hose is easy to use and stores in a small space on the boat. I don't expect it to last a long time (maybe two seasons) with regular use, but the convenience is worth it. Make sure you drain the hose well after each use so it will dry out and hopefully last longer.

I had two hoses that leaked like mad at the spigot, I put this on them and both stopped. Within 30 minutes I bought a second one. Lightweight, short for my postage stamp sized townhouse yard but does stretch as well. It is plastic fitting but you cant beat the price. No kinks, lightweight... wonderful product!!

Cons: Plastic fittings. The hose is lightweight but after months of use the plastic fittings started cracking from tightening the hose.Pros: Everything else. Light weight, shrinks down and expands automatically, decent output of water.I used to own one of those rubber green hoses. Weighed 15 lbs and was difficult to roll up. This thing weighs like 1 lb and is so easy to wrap up. It shrinks and expands on its own and it's interesting to see it grow when you turn on the water. The length of the hose is accurate and long enough for what I have to do. Will never go back to rubber again.

The whole 'expandable' hose idea is new to me, so I can only comment about my short term use of it in comparison to the traditional stiff garden hose.- really nice that it is so compact and light.- so far doesn't get as dirty as stiff/rubber hose- nozzle flops all over the place when let go (fun as a kids toy, not fun if you don't want to get wet)- it takes some time to fill up enough to extend to its longest length. (just a new thing to note).- plastic instead of metal nozzle and connecters means it might break more easily.- tricks with unsnagging the hose from a distance don't work the same way with the flexible hose. I used to be able to track a hose behind me, around a car or wall, and if the hose gets stuck, I could unsnag it by a little snap of the wrist., sending a moving hump down the hose to kick the snagged part out. Works great on old-fashioned hose. On the flexible hose, that trick doesn't seem to work well or you have to snap a lot harder, the movement doesn't travel down the hose well.- I had one flexible hose break on me and it was impossible to fix by hand. the rubber inner hose (that actually carries the water must come in sections, and two sections must have come apart. Then water just comes out of the exposed flexible outer netting of the hose, never reaching the nozzle. I thought I could fix it by squinching the rubber part back and forth, just like trying to get the lace of pajama pants back out once one end has been pulled too far inside.

Cheaply made. The fitting for the slicker was off and when I finally got it on, using tools, it had a leak at the other end !! It cannot “hold” water in the hose. I have to shut off the water. Defeats the purpose for what I need!!! Not happy, although the color red is pretty lol

So far I am really crazy about this hose. It is so easy to move around, and I love the kind of festive color. Dragging around a big hose was really impeding my ability to garden so even if this doesn’t last forever, it’s expensive and I really love it. I garden in a public garden and this actually can just go in my backpack when I go over there, and in these Covid times it means I don’t have to touch somebody else’s tools and hoses..

This hose makes outdoor chores that much easier. It is lightweight, easy to carry and utilize. The pro is its con however, as it is so light it will snake around a lot unless you find the right angle to place it (if you are doing a chore that does not require you to physically hold the hose the whole time). Overall, it’s a great spend. Especially if you can’t be bother to lug around a heavy hose.UPDATE- Everything was going well. I’ve used the hose for two weeks. Outdoor chores have been great. Then this morning the seams in the hose pulled and water is coming out everywhere except the end where it should be. It surely doesn’t work anymore. It was good while it lasted, but it doesn’t last very long at all.

I had to come back and change my star rating because these hoses are just too easily damaged to be a practical choice for any use other than in a highly protected and controlled environment. Original review - I just love these expandable hoses. This one is awesome because it's red. Works perfectly and is SO much easier to handle than a vinyl or rubber hose.
