Cabin Air Filter Access Door for DODGE RAM 1500 2500 3500 - OEM

Fits well, easy to install, shipped fast, inexpensive. Why Ram didn't already have this is beyond me.

The media could not be loaded. I added a cabin air filter to my 2014 ram. Doesn’t come with one but it has the outline of where to cut behind your glove box.I didn’t have a specialty tool to cut the plastic, so I drilled a bunch of holes then finished it with a box cutter. Works great.

This is an aftermarket accommodation for versions/year models of the RAM P/U to don't have a cabin air filter. When I learned that could add a cabin filter to my 2016 2500 Tradesman, I looked to youtube for a video detailing the procedure on how to install this filter access door. All that need to be done was to remove the plastic outline for the door, insert the filter and snap on this door. I used an oscillating multi tool with a fine blade and it worked adequately to remove the plastic cutout entrance for the filter. Once the cutout was made, a filter inserted, the access door fit and locked in as expected. I now have filter that at the very least cuts down of pollen (heavy in my area) and dust. My wife appreciates the improvement!

This is the part you want to add a cabin air filter to your late-model Ram truck. The quality appears to be excellent and it looks and fits exactly like an original factory part. The installation is pretty straightforward and takes less than 30 minutes.I like this door as opposed to the others because of the more affordable price. Some vendors charge as much as $30 for this little plastic piece, which is pretty outrageous. This one is more reasonably priced.A couple tips on installation. One is that it's a lot easier if you remove not only the lower glove box but also the top one too. On some models, the top box is just a package tray. With this out of the way, access is far easier.Second is while the factory scribe marks on the fan housing are a simple rectangle, there's a couple other things you will need to cut out. One are the two little square indents along the lower edge. You'll see them when you access the fan housing. The protruding guides on the door slide into those little slots. Two is the smaller rectangle at the center bottom edge. That comes out to give your fingers a place to grab the filter to remove it. The cover has a corresponding dropped section and a divider, so that it will work correctly with this area cut out.That's it. Snaps in place and you'll have nice filtered air.

My ram didn't come with the cabin air filter from the factory. I bought this door cover cut the box for the filter and the door attached right to it. It's a little piece of mind to try to get some cleaner air

Takes a little bit of work to cut out the plastic but definitely an easy DIY job. Clips feel good and fit good.
